Let's start with their toast. The Toast takes the classic breakfast staple to a whole new level. Their toasts are perfectly toasted to a golden crisp, with a delightful crunch in every bite. Whether you choose the traditional kaya (coconut jam) spread or opt for other delectable options like peanut butter or chocolate, the combination of the crispy toast and creamy spreads creates a delightful contrast of textures and flavors that leaves you wanting more.
Now, let's talk about their Nasi Lemak. The Toast is known for serving up a tantalizing version of this beloved Malaysian dish. The fragrant coconut rice is cooked to perfection and served with an array of mouthwatering accompaniments such as spicy sambal sauce, crispy anchovies, refreshing cucumber slices, and a perfectly cooked hard-boiled egg. The balance of flavors in their Nasi Lemak is truly exceptional, with each component adding its own distinct taste that harmonizes beautifully.

In conclusion, The Toast is a must-visit destination in Johor Bahru for their delicious toast and Nasi Lemak. With its delectable flavors, friendly service, and cozy ambiance, it guarantees an enjoyable dining experience that will leave you...
Read moreIt was a positive experience at The Toast, with the standout feature being the delectable taste of the food. However, there were a couple of aspects that could use some improvement.
Let's start with the positives. The taste of the food was absolutely delightful. From the moment I took my first bite, I was greeted with an explosion of flavors that truly satisfied my taste buds. The menu offers a diverse range of options, and each dish I tried was expertly prepared and packed with deliciousness. It's evident that the chefs pay close attention to the quality and flavors of the ingredients, resulting in a delightful culinary experience.
However, one area that needs attention is the portion sizes in relation to the prices. While the taste of the dishes was undoubtedly exceptional, the quantity of food provided didn't seem to match the price point. It would have been more satisfying if the portions were more generous, allowing customers to feel that they are receiving good value for their money. A slight adjustment in this aspect would make the overall dining experience even more enjoyable. The Lor Mai Kai made me give a 4 star as it was wayyy to small for the price.....
Another aspect that requires improvement is the environment. During my visit, I noticed that the air conditioning was insufficient, causing the dining area to become uncomfortably warm. It's important for a dining establishment to provide a pleasant and comfortable ambiance for its patrons. Installing more effective cooling systems or ensuring proper air circulation would go a long way in enhancing the overall dining experience.
Despite these minor setbacks, the exceptional taste of the food served, the flavors are top-notch, and the culinary journey provided is truly enjoyable. With some adjustments to portion sizes and improving the air conditioning, this place has the potential to become an even more exceptional dining...

Got to know about this place thru JohorKaki's Blog who highly recommended this.
So apparently "The Toast" is quite a popular Toast Franchise similar to Yakun or ToastBox in Singapore and this place is very packed even on a Weekday when I was there.
Their Signature Dish according to Johor Kaki is the Egg Mayo Toast and I have to agree. The amount of filling piled on top feels generous and its Thick and Creamy.
Cream appears to be mixed in with Egg Yolks, it looks thick but actually tastes quite light. This Thick Layer of Egg Mayo combined with the Crispy Thick Toast makes this an Easy Recommendation. This is a Good Tasting Egg Mayo, not the simple type. A Definite MUST TRY when you're here.
That said, I highly recommend to consume this Egg Mayo toast fast, because it does get cold quickly. Once its not Super Hot, I felt the taste degrades very rapidly as the Toast get mushier. Still good, but not as shiok as 1st bite when first arrived.
The Kopi-O itself certainly is Fragrant with a nice Burnt Coffee Bean and Gao Gao Taste. Definitely worth to order too if you enjoy Black Fragrant Coffee.
With a combined price of just RM7.90 at such a Quality, Friendly Staffs and No Service Charge, this is an Easy Recommendation from me.
