Upon first glance we didn't know what to expect from 3 Amigos, even had lower expectations however we decided to give them a try. The interior left much to be desired as they are a kitchen that makes both Italian, Mexican, and even some local dishes. I saw they have margaritas on their menu but I was hesitant to try one because we've had many margaritas on our Southeast Asia adventure and they've mostly been disgusting and even served as martinis. We decided to order one and try it out before ordering 2. We ordered a frozen margarita which is usually never made correctly. When our margarita arrived we were impressed by how authentic it looked and after trying we couldn't believe how delicious it tasted. I was wowed, so I ordered a frozen orange margarita, which I have never seen on any menu anywhere - not even in Mexico. The orange margarita did not disappoint and was everything I expected it to taste like. It was fantastic! We ordered chicken nachos, which were also fantastic - huge chunks of meat and great flavor. The waiter even brought out some tabasco sauce for us to make it spicier, another thumbs up. We ordered a burrito which was also wonderful, they use real pinto beans (you'd be surprised how many Southeast Asia Mexican restaurants don't). Overall we were impressed and enjoyed dining here, when we initially didn't have high hopes for this place. It's a little pricier than we anticipated but well worth it especially their margaritas. I never expected to have enjoyed their margaritas as much as I have. As a matter of fact I'm craving one just by writing...
Read moreFirstly, the table cloths need a deep clean. The music, bad techno pop, chipmunk jinglebells, and hip-hop: what beats to chew to. Deeply disappointed by my mojito, which seemed to be blended to bitz. It was a big deal when I asked for ice too cool down the room temp cocktail. But alas a giant cup of ice was served. That fixed things. And here comes the taco pizza: First appearances, well, it's underwhelming. Small bits of toppings, smothered in cheese. And upon tasting I can say it's absolute meh. So much 🫑 and strange "beef". I don't think even the street dogs would eat this. So in hind sight I should have followed my gut instinct and just got street food! Mexican food, isn't done well in...
Read moreAfter seeing the ratings here we wanted to try it and see how bad it was. We ordered a pizza and a pasta dish and yeah the two menus are a bit strange but in all Honesty it’s pretty much the same in each side just one side is ‘Mexican’ and one side is ‘Italian’. The pizza was ok, I thought it was fresh despite reading reviews that it was frozen, but it is made on a tortilla wrap. It wasn’t bad but for the price there are better places down the road. The pasta was ok, my husband liked the flavours but I thought the pasta was overdone and too soft personally. For the price I didn’t think it was all that good. We had ‘milkshakes’ that...
