Viva Italia Restaurant — Restaurant in Langkawi Island

Popped in here on a whim during pouring rain. It’s a strange place; it appears to be an Italian restaurant next to a Mexican restaurant, but once inside you actually get both menus and can order from both on a single bill. Strange, but useful.

Ordered tacos to start, chicken - these were super tasty, with good spice and a nice, satisfying, crunch. Yum. Two tacos a portion.

Tried the burger for a main - this reminded me of the sort of burger you get in old fashioned back street cafes in London - solid, with a good hit of fresh onion and a few fries in the side. Nostalgia. Memories of Jenny’s at London Bridge in the mid 2000s. Anyway, decent burger.

Enquired about dessert; pretty much everything on the menu was off though, except the mango with ice cream. Didn’t fancy that so demurred.

The beer was Corona; you like to see it.

At one point the staff started to rearrange all the pictures on the walls; unclear why, they looked fine.

First of all all the crew was amazing and especially the restaurant manager i think was so nice we actually had some bad experiences with other restaurants as we r not really into seafood but after trying this restaurant we came everyday for 4 days until we traveled and last day the restaurant owner actually gave us all goodbye icecream it was amazing and the food was delicious everything the seasoning and flavors was perfect especially the chicken deserved a 5 star rating and the food came fresh everything was hot and there fries was fresh hot we actually ordered it everyday and also the pizza was fresh and hot and soft everything was on point especially the service and the whole crew made it a memorable...

Dreadful pizza We both ordered pizzas , instinct screamed at me to walk away when I asked is the pizza fresh homemade and where is the oven to cook it in

Got a mumbled answer back Forgave the guys English, not his fault Boy was it a bad decision by me to stay and eat here. !!! Worst yep , thought about it , definitely the worst pizzas we have ever had Obviously frozen Brought in cheap rubbish No tomato base sauce Beyond bland cheese Totally utterly tasteless

You know when you are very hungry and you keep eating it in the vain desperate hope it got better.... well now I can say I tried that and will never repeat the exercise again !!!
