It is said that coming to Langkawi, the best Thai food can be found at Wan Thai, a long standing restaurant in Kuah. I first came to dine with my car group here back in 2015 and was impressed by the restaurant decorated mainly with wood motif, similar to traditional Thai restaurants in LOS. I wanted to visit here on my Part 1 visit but due to miscommunication (their fault), I was turned away. This time we managed to dine here after our visit at Sky Bridge. ◾Steamed siakap in spicy lime sauce - fresh fish with appetising spicy/sour sauce instantly lifted everyone's mood and appetite. ◾Spicy glass noodle with seafood - taste wise similar to the Kerabu chicken feet salad but replaced with glass noodle and seafood instead. ◾Tomyam chicken - I approved the balance of taste in terms of spiciness-sour-spicy. In fact, I added another bowl of soup. ◾Green curry chicken - still not a fan of green curry 🤣 next time will stick to their panang curry instead. ◾Somtam was something that I cannot get enough of, and the taste was as good as I can get in Thailand. ◾Telur Dadar - easy option for the kids in the group. ◾Red Ruby was the dessert to conclude our tummy-filling lunch. Overall the quality of food is still above average. If you come near their closing time, you'd notice some unpleasantry in the service despite them trying their best to conceal it.

We ordered 6 dishes for 10 people and it was sufficient. All large except the fish. - Thai Green Curry Chicken This one is the best for me, creamy green curry with tender juicy chicken pieces are really good. But some of my friends think it's a bit sweet and not fit their tastes. - Green Mango salad Good as an appetizer - Omelette Just normal Telur Dadar, okay but nothing special - Tomyam mixed Still okay but I didn't eat much because I'm a bit allergic to seafood with shells. - Siakap - Medium Not recommended, have a strong weird taste and not really fresh. Most of the time Siakap is a fishy fish but it can reduce the smell in the proper way, but this one emmm really didn't cook it well. - Stir Fry Baby Kale Fresh veggies

Just a short distance from De Baron resort hotel in which I stayed, took Grab for just a few ringgit to reach Wan Thai. When I reached the restaurant, disappointingly I was told all the tables were fully booked, and they offered me a lesser table out side the restaurant. No choice, I agreed. Next time I will have to book a table in advance. I arrived just after 8 pm, and a double table booked was still empty till 915 pm. These guys came late for dinner. Anyway, I did enjoy the foods that I ordered. Definitely tom yam a must , with siakap fish cooked in lemon, and I truely love the soft skin crabs, fried crispy. The foods rather pricey, rm120 for 2 person. However, I would rate the delicious foods and the place 5 star.

Worst experience ever. Went there with my wife the place was crowded with minimal social distancing and no one taking any temperature upon our arrival despite still being in RMCO. No one even greet us to show to any available table despite being there for a few moment.

A few of the tables were already reserved but saw a table with no reserved sign. I went ahead with my wife to go to the table but stopped by the staff there asking whether any reservation done. I said no, and told them i would like a table for two. The staff ask us to wait awhile and went to the counter to discuss with someone i assume the superior.

We was standing in the middle of the place with everyone looking at us and a few moment later, the staff that ask us initialy just went off and take orders for other table and pretend like we were invincible. We were literally standing there like a beggar. Decided to go out and look for other place

P/s if any of u wanted to try here, kindly make reservation or else, might get...

We did the reservation a day before visiting, but they could not find my name on the day we visited. The staff just simply said my name was not in the list. So who the hell I was talking to the day before?? They didn’t have any solution for us, and just let us wait n wait there. We requested the 10pcs small bowl for Tomyam soup, but half of it were dirty and some leftovers sticked on the bowl. Ok guys... the funniest thing happened. They could not find our table to send the fried squids which we ordered. After we finished all our food, we asked and only the staff informed us about that. Unfortunately, they refried it and sent to us because it already became cold and gamy. I really could not agree that this restaurant is delicious. I think the taste is just so-so but abit pricey. So we decided that it was the last visit for us, and we will find another Thai food at Langkawi for our next visit. Any...
