For my first impression upon entering, the design was unique and stirred my excitement for the food. I felt as if I'd stepped into a time capsule into the past. Taiwanese inspiration can be seen and heard from the songs they played. It really sets itself apart from the other mediocre, boring, modern cafe/restaurant designs.
However, the food was extremely disappointing. For the price of RM 18, the calamansi ice consisted of ice, condensed milk, longan, and aiyu jelly. The taste was artificial and I did not expect them to give so little toppings for this price. The shaved ice took up the majority of the volume, and I couldn't even finish the ice.
For the grass jelly dessert which I did not take a picture of, they spared a lot on the toppings. Overall it was okay, but for its price of RM 12, it's meh. Will I return for this dessert? No.
There is one more thing, small but impactful. I hope this restaurant staff learns to be more welcoming to their customers. Perhaps a greeting will suffice. I think this will elevate the entire experience for me.
I will give this restaurant the benefit of the doubt because I know it's new. If they improve based on the feedback given, I am willing to come again to try out the food. I am rooting for its improvement because I really liked the design of this place. With proper marketing, I believe it's gonna thrive.
In short: they need to be more generous with their food toppings. Improvements on recipe and portions. price has to be reasonable for the food quality design is unique and pleasant staff can be...

Hey Yi KL in Jalan Klang Lama is a hidden gem for anyone who loves authentic Hong Kong desserts! From the moment I stepped in, the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made me feel right at home.
I started with their Scallion Dry Noodles, and it was a perfect choice. The noodles were tender, chewy, and perfectly seasoned, with fresh scallions that added a great aromatic touch. It was a simple yet satisfying dish that made me excited for what was to come.
Next, I indulged in the Taro Balls with Taro Paste Grass Jelly, and wow – it was an absolute delight. The taro balls were soft and chewy, with a creamy, smooth filling. The grass jelly complemented it perfectly, creating a light yet flavorful dessert that left me craving more.
But the real highlight was the Sesame Glutinous Balls in Ginger Soup. The glutinous rice balls were perfectly chewy, with a rich sesame filling that melted in my mouth. The ginger soup was warming and comforting, adding the perfect balance of spice. It was an unforgettable dessert experience!

Read moreA friend recommended coming here for dessert after dinner. This shop actually has branches around KL so it should be rather convenient to access to try their desserts. Visited at 730pm and the place wasn't packed. Took a while to look at the menu before deciding on what to order and then went to the counter to order and paid for the food. The desserts were basically made pretty fast and served. We ordered a few desserts mainly one for each person. In general the comments were that the portion was quite decent, the desserts were of not bad quality and not overly sweet. We did enjoyed the desserts. We were almost finishing our desserts when we realized that the mango snow ice was not served yet. Finally it was served and we were shocked by the size of the snow ice. It's definitely very big and I would definitely recommend for at least 2 people to share. A kid ordered this and was also surprised by the size and wasn't able to finish the whole thing, eventually just asked him to finish the pearls and the mango. Quite value for money. This place seems quite popular we didn't know it was already full when we finished our desserts and there were people waiting outside. They have quite a variety of items to choose from would recommend...
