If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience at this establishment was not only disappointing—it was genuinely concerning. As someone who values transparency, safety, and respect in food service, I was stunned to find dairy-containing items clearly marked as vegan on the menu. When I raised this with the staff, I met with the manager not once, but twice. The response? That “other vegan guests are okay with it.” This is not just unacceptable—it’s dangerous and shows a complete lack of understanding of dietary needs and ethical food practices. Labelling dairy as vegan reflects a fundamental ignorance about food and allergens. It makes me wonder: Where else are corners being cut? If accuracy and guest safety are treated this carelessly on the menu, what else is being overlooked behind the scenes? This isn’t about personal preference—it’s about trust. You wouldn’t accept treatment from a doctor with no medical training; so why should diners accept food from an establishment that doesn’t even grasp the basics of what it's serving? Until this restaurant takes accountability and invests in proper food education, I strongly recommend others think twice before dining here—especially those with dietary restrictions or food allergies.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5 stars for food. 🌟🌟🌟🌟 4 stars for service. We have always loved coming to Al Amar. This is probably our seventh time here over the years. The last time we came, unfortunately, it was closed, so we had to go to the nearby one along the main road, which is not as good as this outlet. Al Amar serves a wide range of Lebanese food ranging from meats, to plates, to pizzas. Our go-to order would include hummus, shawarma, lamb chops, pizza for the young ones and kunafa. The hummus is heavenly. Its creamy and slightly oily composition is served well together with the four pieces of bread that comes together with it. Not enough bread? No worries at all. Simply get another basket of four pieces for RM5. The meats here are generally good. They come in decent portions and with some sides and vegetables. I went for the lamb cutlets this time. They were slightly burnt, but the charred taste was good. To end the meal, go for the kunafa cheese. The service here is hit and miss. The possibly middle eastern bosses do not really acknowledge the customers here. There was also an aunty who was fiddling with her phone. Thankfully, we had a lady and male server, who were generally more friendly and conversant.
