I donât always post a review unless itâs really bad and feel other consumers should be well aware as I depend a lot on google reviews to know which places to avoid !! My bad for not reading much or more reviews on this place before choosing it. I spent a total of RM2750 for both me and my mum . We were there for 5 hours only for me to leave with the worst hair cut of my life . I was charged RM 160 for a professional stylist !! I donât think his hair cutting skill even passed for a senior stylist. The way he holds the scissors itself didnât seem convincing!!Iâm glad I didnât request for a layer cut as it could have been a bigger disaster !!! I donât mind the money but the outcome is not something I can accept for the amount n time I spent there!! Also for scalp treatment , this is the first place Iâm seeing where they charge by hair length when the area treated is only the scalp !! Overall Iâm greatly disappointed and would never recommend this place even to my enemy !! You can get better service and outcome for a much lesser price elsewhere!! Iâm so frustrated!! I was not able to tell how bad the haircut was from a fresh blow dry and I didnât realise how horrible the haircut was till my mum told me when she saw it from the back in a close up !! Attached are the pictures of the job from a âprofessional stylistâ. This is not the type of skills or outcome you should be getting from a place like that (Pavilion). I guess the only obvious reason they have many 5 star reviews is because they offer a 10% discount for leaving them a 5 star review!!
Reply to ur update and claims , I didnât demand extra from what u were willing to give . Please get your facts right before accusing me of lying to look good to the readers. Iâm not the only one with a bad experience at your place . You gave me a time frame and a voucher to which I said I wonât be in the country for x amount of period instead asked you to do a refund for the promised voucher . Read it again ! I requested for a refund for the promised voucher as I wasnât able to come back to the country in time to utilise your âgoodwillâ voucher. To which you refused . I wasnât going to fly back all the way just to get my hair fixed somewhere it was ruined . Yes itâs just a haircut that went wrong but it took me months to recover from that . The âfriendâ u claim that I got to make fake review is my mum who went to your saloon as well. You made assumptions about a campaign I was running and blocked my number . Till date I never received any amount of said refund . So check yourself and your service recovery team before attacking me. Also please stop using the word goodwill, itâs not like you did a good job and you are giving me a discount . You ruined something I paid for and you were suppose to compensate . Nothing about it is out of goodwill. Nothing is free and I didnât ask for a compensation without paying for anything . My bill...
Read more(Edit in response to Salon: I did not ask for ash blue hair. I said I wanted blue highlights and showed the stylists several photos, including the one I posted. He showed me a swatch which, to my untrained eye, looked cornflower blue and not ashy. To be fair, he did mention âashyâ a few times, but I relied on him and assumed that if the look he had in mind was very different from the pictures I showed or the swatch, he would let me know. I should also reiterate that, notwithstanding the clear unevenness, the salon dried, applied treatment to and styled my hair without suggesting another application of blue dye. They would have been content to let me leave the salon as is if I did not raise the issue)
Do not be fooled by all the 5 star reviews. This salon offers a 10% discount in exchange for 5-star reviews.
I visited the salon on 6 September, asking for bright blue highlights. I showed the stylist a picture with the colour and look I wanted (blue highlights on black hair), and he assured me it could be done.
Long story short - I ended up with brown hair and grey/green highlights, with patches of blue. Not what I was looking for at all.
I noticed that once the bleach and dye process started, the stylist got his assistant to apply the products and simply put a timer on. Once the time was up, they washed off the bleach and dye without first checking the colour in any way.
When I pointed out that the look was entirely different from what I asked for, the stylist first tried to deny it by claiming it was âash blueâ. I pointed out that the blue was patchy and uneven, and he said it could be because the bleaching wasnât even and said I could bleach my hair again. I pointed out that this would cause unnecessary damage to my hair, and he should have checked before applying blue dye. He then claimed that it might have been the blue dye that was not absorbed evenly, and said he could apply another coat of blue dye.
But at this point, I no longer had any faith in this salon. He offered me a 30% discount, which I took. But frankly, it will cost me much more to rectify the damage caused and achieve the look I wanted. It was incredibly disappointing that the salon would even try to suggest they gave me what I asked for - attaching pictures...
Read moreI came here a few years ago and had an experience that still bothers me till this day. I was suffering from anxiety, depression and hair pulling so had significant hair loss off the top of my head. After 1 yr of improvement, my bald hair spots finally grew out to maybe 3 inches or so. I have curly hair so I wanted to blend it in with layers.
When I explained my issues to the person in front, he told me if I want someone who can help me better I can pay extra. I wasn't sure but it was going to be my first hair cut in years especially after my anxiety and depression. So I agreed to splurge more than RM200 for a more experienced person.
I came here because of the 5 star reviews. When I sat down and saw the sign saying 10% off for reviews, I immediately knew why. Take the reviews with a grain of salt if there are no photos.
The guy that was going to cut my hair asked me if I cut my own hair, and I explained my situation. He looked visibly annoyed and asked if I wanted a trim. I said no, I wanted to get layers to blend my curly hair. Then he asked me if I wanted to straighten my naturally curly hair, I said no. Then he said he can only do a trim.
In the end I basically paid around RM200 for someone to give me a 1 inch trim. Before I left, he advised me not to try to cut my own hair again next time. Despite me telling him my situation. It felt so demeaning and I felt very hurt, even till now when I think back about it. I did not try to cut my own hair. I was recovering from hair pulling due to my mental health issues.
I did not get the hair cut I wanted and I think they do not know how to cut or style naturally curly hair. If you look at all their reviews, it's all people with straight hair, or straight hair that is permed. I also would not pay extra for the more...
