Okay, so I might be a little bit biased here, but I don't think my issues with the place are based entirely on this bias. The food here is generally okay, especially their Xian Long Bao which I personally even enjoyed here more than in other places. Some dishes were not as I used or expected them to taste. Like, their Sichzuan Chilli Chicken was just bland - completely lacking flavour. If this is your favourite item on the menu (it is mine), better go to Din Tai Fung instead. The same goes for their Sour Soup - it was bland in the same way the chicken was but they also added way too much vinegar also making it too heavy on the sourness. Prices. This place is just super expensive comparing with other places in Pavillion. Din Tai Fung, for instance (yeah, this is my bias lol). The total price for the two including all taxes and service charges was at 171RM. The same order if we had it in Din Tai Fung would cost us probably 30-40% less. And don't get me wrong, I'm okay with paying premium for some added quality or taste, but it just wasn't the case here. 7 out of 10.

This is a pretty good chinese restaurant. We got the whole duck set for 208rm. It’s decent. It comes with pancakes, condiments, 2 plates of duck, and fried duck bones. The duck skin is crispy, goes really good with the pancake and condiments. But the duck itself isn’t very flavourful and it’s not super fatty. The fried duck bone is great too, but not the most flavourful I’ve had. We got the Soon Hock fish for 20rm/50g and ended up spending 280rm for around 800g of it. It’s soft, nice salty sauce, but the fish itself doesn’t have much flavour and relies on the sauce. The crab with egg white for 30.80rm was pretty good. Nice flavours, goes really well with vinegar, though it’s slightly too watery from what i’ve had. The tofu for 42.8rm was delicious though, I’d recommend that one if you want some veg on the side. Overall it’s a pretty good place, though not as flavourful as some of the other peking duck places i’ve been. After taxes, for our table of 4 it came out to around 185rm per person, which is a bit pricey.

After the renovation, this was my first time back at Dragon I and I must say, I met one of the best waiters I’ve ever encountered in Malaysia’s F&B industry Mr. Min Oo. His service easily outshines the Chinese lady and male captains in suits, who honestly weren’t attentive at all!!!!!!!!!!! Min Oo was outstanding !! he cleared dirty plates promptly, replaced them without me asking, and refilled sauces before I even noticed they were low. Each time he served a dish, he greeted politely, said thank you and sincerely wished us to enjoy our meal. His attentiveness and genuine manners really stood out. To be honest, I haven’t experienced such amazing service in a very long time. Meanwhile both captains in black suits were just standing around, not looking out for customer needs at all. I even asked to see his name tag because I wanted to know who this gem was “Min Oo” truly deserves recognition for making our dining experience memorable!

INFURIATING DELIVERY SERVICE PROCESS

ordered from their instore delivery service because they refused to use grab or foodpanda proceeded to pay but can't use their 'card' services so i'm forced to open an account from some one of the payment platforms i.e. TouchnGo pay/ Razer pay / Grab pay This act alone waste at least 30 minutes of my time. By the time I created an account with one of the online platforms, I went back to the instore page to pay, suddenly my orders from before were HALF GONE. Had to order from another restaurant to make up for the rest of the quantity because of this.

Please fix this problem soon to avoid any technical issues for your customers. Thanks.

*edit: It's been an hour later. I checked the order status and they have not even place a designated driver for this order. I called over to the restaurant to ask and it seems like they did not even see the order / put the order down to cook.

TO MANAGEMENT: please see to this issue because if you decide to not go on grab/foodpanda at least fix your online system. Going forward if you do not want to lose to your competitors and lose out on your customers I suggest you focus a bit more in improving your online platform.

Attached photos: you can see that I ordered at 12:27pm and at 2pm after I called they only started...

This was my first time visiting this restaurant. That being said no staff was helpful enough to explain the steamed groundnuts were CHARGEABLE. They kept it before giving us the menu card, afterwards they tell us it is 3.80rm. So are the wet tissues 1rm.

The manager was also very rude, arrogant and was not helpful at all. (She supposedly explained to us but she did it after we ate it which was useless tbh) but if she was a bit more sensitive and empathetic I don’t really mind paying for those items, but her terrible attitude was just outright disrespectful and rude.

If you are going to charge for things DO NOT GIVE IT TO YOUR CUSTOMERS as soon as they sit. Explain to them that everything is chargeable and then proceed to keep it.

About the food: I can’t say that this is the best Chinese food I have eaten. I have been to many other restaurants and tried similar dishes. This restaurant was just a pricey option in my opinion.

I don’t know if this was out of racism or this is how all customers are treated but I really felt unwelcomed.

Honestly will never recommend this restaurant to anyone because of their...

I think this shop is very suitable for celebrating someone birthday since their service is really good. This restaurant also provide a comfortable environment. Their music and light will let you feel relax and enjoy it very much. All of them are polite always give us the best service. Their food oso have their standard and the price is still reasonable as a high standard restaurant. Therefore, I think I will come again to celebrate my parents anniversary next month at this restaurant after have the experience celebrating my mom birthday here.
