My partner and I visited on new year’s eve during lunch and it was packed. A queue was already building up when we arrived. We joined the queue and was shortly handed a menu by a staff. The same staff took our orders shortly after. This made the waiting time more manageable as we were occupied and allowed us to reduce waiting time after seated.
As we were a party of two, we were seated relatively quickly (within 10-15 mins). Tables were made when we got there. There was no ordering to do at this point - only confirmation of orders and the rest of the waiting game.
The wait for the food was long, a good 20 mins at least for two plates of chicken (8 pieces each) and rice. The table next to ours were seated 5 mins after us but was served much earlier. One of the serves proactively informed us that the honey chicken had a shorter preparation time, as such, our orders for red pepper and garlic soy chicken will arrive later. Reasoning accepted, however a strong point for improvement, especially if you can better understand and manage the demand and supply.
We were all smiles when the chicken finally arrived. Well plated and fresh. The rice and soup took another 3 mins to arrive, which is unacceptable. Despite the wait for the rice, the chicken remained hot and crispy. The red pepper chicken was tasty and had some heat. The garlic soy chicken had a robust taste but was slightly too salty for my liking. Rice was good just right, and the soup was a light chicken broth that complements the heavy flavours of the chicken. A side of salad that came with the chicken brought a refreshing touch to the dish.
Overall, the experience was pleasant. Food was well prepared and well priced. With some patience, you should have a consistent good experience. 5 stars given for my first visit. I consider the waiting time reasonable due to the crowd and will revise this review during my next visit if the circumstances...
Read moreWASTE OF TIME. Take up to 45min-1hour to get your food done even there's only 2tables. Slow service and RICE NOT COOKED WELL. First of all, when there during my lunch time at 1210, ordered 1215 and waited for my food until nearly 1pm and because of this I have to extend my lunch hour and went back to office late half an hour.
Service. The menu they gave to me are dirty with stain and sauces on the menu, they didn't even come to take my order instead of me walk to them to order and same things happened to the table next to me.
Food Quality When the beverage served, the ice almost melted all already which made the drink tasteless. I don't know how long they left on the pass. Steamed rice was not cooked, and even served me the rice that sticked at the bottom of the rice cooker or whatever .
Lack of staff, lack of training 2-3 staff may not enough and unable to handle peak hour, but with a better training it wouldn't be a problem. Half of the soup poured on the tray while the waiter serve.
Efficiency / mise en place / precooked I believe that 12pm-3pm / after 7pm are peak hour which people from office will have lunch or family will have dinner after 7pm. Lunch time will be 12pm, precooked or start preparing in the kitchen before 12, not only prepare when there's order punched in. Try to practice. when I dined in there, 4 tables are obviously people who working in an office and everyone lost patient because it's really...
