Big Tree Chicken Rice — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Read all the favourable reviews and decided to give this place a go.

Ordered 2 plates of fried chicken thigh with plain white rice and 2 glasses of iced herbal tea. Taste of the chicken was not displeasing although it was on the saltier side. All in all, nothing in it to qualify as extraordinary. Considering the setting, the final bill of RM35 was extremely high to say the least. And, to add to our dining experience, we had the displeasure of one of their staff position himself right at the entrance near where we were seated audibly expectorating and puffing on his cigarette with the smoke blowing back towards us.

First, last and only time....

Nothing Great.. Chicken is fried in oil that is probably reused for the 10th time. From the taste u can say it... The rice is flavourfull. They advertise for drumstick and whole leg but only whole leg is only available, other pieces are fake ads.. Chilli is very very diluted and has too much vinegar...

The guy that takes the order never smiles, environment has a few cats coming after thr chicken bones people throw / feed them with.. Old and Rundown surrounding...

Overall Say.. if u have no where else to eat then u can come here coz its somewhat edible but...

Probably the best fry chicken in town.The restaurant has no sign board,(under a big tree)table/chairs are old.Not too hygiene environment.Service is fast and friendly. If you don't mind the conditions of the restaurant you may taste the best fry chicken. The skin is crispy,meat tender and juicy. Well season,flavourful and the meat explode delightfully in your mouth. The rice is fragrant and chilly is delicious. Even the drink is nice. Too bad due to election they didn't prepare the soup.
