Ordered a meal set that had Pad Thai and green curry served over white rice.
Pad Thai was missing just a little more fish sauce and maybe just a touch more heat. I wouldn’t say it was bland, but for the price they charged, it could be better. Green curry had large pieces of Mara jeen (bitter melon) which made the dish almost inedible. Spring roll tasted amazing! Light, crunchy, chewy, and fresh!
Kids meal we ordered was eaten up by my 4 year old. So if you have a toddler, they will be happy with eating everything on their plate (maybe not the salad).
The “Recommended dish” of cashew chicken was not worth ordering. Vegetables were sliced too large and weren’t seasoned before being tossed with the sauce. So the sauce didn’t stick to the vegetables, it slid off the veggies. They also couldn’t render down or absorb any flavor. The best tasting thing in the dish was the cashew.
Also ordered satay chicken, it was so good I forgot to take a picture! Delicious tender and juicy skewered chicken marinated to perfection. The peanut sauce served is amazing, I could almost drink it.
Service was good. However, outside and inside of the restaurant had advertisements of items that were not available.
They also charge for the wet towel that they place on your table. As a heads up be ready to pay for something extra that you didn’t request.
Atmosphere was nice and cozy.
Overall some dishes are quite tasty and others are not very good. This place can be amazing, but advertising items that are not available outside the restaurant, in the menu, and posted on the walls is a poor business practice that will prevent...
Read moreWas looking forward to this opening in LaLaport. Tried the seafood fried rice and fish cakes.
The good: Very cute well-decorated Thai-themed place Friendly staff
The bad: So there’s another small Thai eatery (Dee Thai) just few steps away in the food court which is really good so it’s so easy to compare the quality of ParaThai compare to them.
Unfortunately the seafood fried rice falls so short. 3/10 vs. 9/10 in the other place. You don’t get that high fire Wok taste as you do in Dee Thai. The dish cake was really bad. Like a microwaved cakes. Doesn’t match the picture on menu.
We will try steamed seafoods another day to see how it is.
They charge you for the wet napkin packet they put on the table. This is the most petty and nonsense charge I’ve seen on my life. This needs to be corrected cuz you’re going to lose customers over this...
Read moreProbably the reason why this place has such an exceptionally good rating is the free drink that they offer upon a 5-star Google review - see photo. It's a practice that should to be highlighted, as it most likely dilutes the real reviews and the real rating without such "bribed" 5-star-reviews would likely be lower.
Overall, the place was not really bad, but it certainly also doesn't deserve this exceptionally high rating from many reviews. The food was fine but also nothing extraordinary, and special wishes that were clearly stated and noted down upon ordering were also forgotten (e.g. no garnishing in the food and no ice for the drink). Price and atmosphere was that of a shopping mall. Overall, would probably not come back and rather try other Thai...
