📌🗓️ July 2023
Newly renovated and situated at Jalan Alor. Been a repeat customer for sometime just for their Dry Butter Prawns. During our last visit, it was RM45. After the renovation, increased to RM52. If prices are not a concern, then this shop is a must try if visiting Jalan Alor.
Dry Butter Prawns (RM52) too good to describe. Six pieces of juicy chunky large prawns fried to crisp even the shells and head are edible. With plenty of egg floss. Wish they add more prawns because one portion is never enough 😂.
Asam Pedas Ikan Siakap (RM70) taste way better than many other restaurants. Plenty of vegetable garnishment. Ikan Siakap priced at RM8.90 per gram, fried to crisp. Entire fish head was edible for its' texture. Probably would repeat visit just for this style of fish cooked with extra white rice.
Sizzling Japanese Toufu (RM23) was authentic with probably 2 or more eggs at the bottom. Price is reasonable for the portion. However, it was a little bit watery but it didn't affect the taste much.
Kangkung Belacan (RM18) surprisingly so delicious, bringing back the old school authentic taste. White rice (RM3).
Randomly ordered Nasi Goreng Tom Yam (RM13) and Popiah (RM12). Nasi Goreng was good. Popiah was ok & not oily. Just sengkuang in it nothing else. Added Leng Chee Kang (RM9.50) later, it was good too.
Overall, the food is tasty but clearly it's a tourist based place. So the prices may not be wallet friendly. Expensive is the word. Indoor AC and outdoor seating available. Services were quick. Hygiene washrooms. Parking is a hassle,...
Read moreThis restaurant had recently finished its renovation. In its outside open window area is similar to others, while its interior is well renovated with great lightning and marble floor and table along with comfortable seats and air-conditioned. Even the toilet deserve a good rating with great hygiene and marble tiles and walls. The food serving speed is fast depends on your dish, mine served in 5minutes. Stuff attitude are good. Food price are considered high as from the menu a minimal small cost rm23. Price is overall above average but it is suitable for more diners. Food quantity is able to meet par with the price and considering price in the city, it is acceptable. Food taste is great and did suprised me that it actually meets my expectations taste, in fact the taste here consider delicious in comparison with some competitors. From my order, noodles are great(even for local tastebuds), dish are good too, chicken wings are great(although not heavily marinated compared to the best known in the area, at least the wings are not shrink and have honey finishing taste: consider great in the area), blood cockles makes me feel awe where it is not well cleaned where dirts are found in the cockles. Overall this is a great place for group and it has the value to be consumed. Recommended more than other...
