I stayed at this hotel last year in November of 2022,and again this past July of 2023, and think the best thing about this accommodation, is the location.||Tai Ichi is only a 5 minute walk from the Bukit Bintang MRT station, so it’s real ease of access when coming from the airport.||Also, the street that this hotel is located on, is only a street down by Jalan Alor, which is the infamous “Food Street” as I call it, and has a multitude of shops and food stalls that have a large range of foods to choose from, and at reasonable prices. Jalan Alor is great to go to in the evening when it’s at least a little bit cooler, not to mention, if you continue to walk up the street of Changkat Bukit Bintang, there’s another large range of restaurants, bars, and grills to dine in on both sides of the street. This has always been one of the prime areas I’ve dined in when I first visited in 2019, last year in 2022, and just last month in August of 2023. Just endless choices to pick for one’s food or drink.||Also, Tai Ichi hotel is only about an eight minute walk down from a major intersection where there’s shopping centers, and you can take the monorail as public transportation.||For the hotel itself, the biggest recommendation I would advise to ANYONE, is that make sure you inquire for a room that’s in the 04, 05, or 06 range (the back of the hotel).||I was first placed in room 402 unbeknownst to the outside clamor. The problem being? There’s street performers playing music very loudly from about 7:3o running all the way to 2 in the morning!||The first 2 nights I found it very hard to sleep until late. However, upon inquiring if I could change to another room, luckily, the front desk was able to accommodate me to 405 by the third night, and consequently, the room was MUCH more quiet, and as a result, I was able to get to sleep much earlier than 2am.||The room itself worked just fine (as obviously, most travelers are going to be out and about on daily excursions and activities), and thus, the room was always cleaned each day, and the 2 bottles of water in the room were always replaced with new bottles. * There was just one small thing I would mention and that being, although there is a safe in the room that should be there to secure one’s belongings, the safe was not turned on in any form, and thus, would not work to keep things safe.||Other than that, my stay here was good, (especially after the room change), would certainly recommend anyone who wants that ease of access in the city, to lodge here at Tai Ichi Hotel, and know I’ll be likely to return here on my next trip...
Read moreWe were just looking for a place to sleep for 2 nights and this place provided that. Positives are very comfortable memory foam beds and pillows and a great showerhead. Lively location near Jalan Alor, lots of places to eat at pretty much any time of day, heaps of shopping malls, with a bus stop for the free purple buses to KLCC about a block away. We asked for a quiet room and got one at the back which had surprisingly no traffic noise at all. However, the staff didn't have a record of our online booking and we had to ask for little things like wifi password and hairdryer. Also the room smelled a little like stale cigarettes - this was fixed by opening the window for a few hours, but the staff could have done this when cleaning the room. The wardrobe also smelled and looked unfinished with shelves and racks missing. Would have liked to rate this place...
Read moreOne thing I learnt about hotels in bukit bintang area is : what you pay is what you get. ||Tai ichi located in the heart of area, lot 10, pavilion and starhill and alor is within walking distance. There's 7 eleven and kk mart on the other side of road (beside golden suite hotel). ||WiFi connection is not that bad but the receptionist doesn't give me login ID and password (I gave my phone so he help me login in). ||The receptionist is kinda rushy. And I barely could hear what they said to me (English and melayu both unclear). ||The room is nice but not really spacey. However basin in our room need to fix. ||I want to say it's a pleasant hotel but I don't really happy dealing with the...
