Room: 6/10 Cleanliness (visible): 8/10 Cleanliness (tangible): 5/10 Food & service: 0/10 Soundproof:2/10 View: 7/10 Likeliness to return for stay: 3/10 (only if the room rate is on promo, or when nearby hotels ran out of rooms and we really need to stay in this specific location)
To be fair, consider the price was on promotion (about RM 270 per night after discount), you can't expect too much.
The design of the room is nice and comfortable. Visibly clean, but dusty at most of the counter tops, possibly due to the building being newly renovated premise?
Just a thing to note, the toilet door is not fully covered, not ĺ and have a slight gap also it is a glass door with random patterns to cover part of the glass (we booked 2 king rooms and 2 are different patterns) so if you are not very comfortable to have someone, eventhough friends, to be able to see what you r doing in the loo, you can consider to book individual rooms instead.
The room was quite stuffy, and even though the ac was on and running cold, the air just didn't circulate well within the small space, which is weird... Somehow, the ventilation in the room is not good.
Soundproof is very bad. Basically, i can hear conversations or movements clearly from next door or opposite, especially loud and clear, when you are in the corridor.
The bed linens are comfy, but the bed itself is not. The duvets are stuffy kind, not breathable (but again, for the promotion price, we paid RM 230 per room, so it's not a big deal).
I like how they used the remains of the old building as decoration. The security at the entrance is really responsive and friendly, too!
The restaurant was the worst part of the whole experience. I didn't expect such bad service when everything else was pretty good. The service was super slow, the staff wasn't trained, and they didn't communicate with the hotel operator. They didn't know what the meal voucher was and took forever to verify it. We wasted a lot of time waiting, and it messed up our plans. They even missed our order, and after we tried to check multiple times, they still couldn't serve us and instead bring the orders for customers who clearly came way later than us. To make it worse , the food was really bad and pricey (RM 55.20 for 1 chicken rice, 1 fried noodle, and a drink plus side dish, all taste extremely bad). Definitely not coming back for...
Read moreThe only good thing about this hotel might just be the location and relatively new furniture; I certainly don’t know how it could be a 4-star hotel. First thing first, check-in was so slow. It should be at 3pm but we had to wait for 2 hours until we were finally able to get in the room. The staff at check-in was also not genuine while trying to accommodate us to check-in. No eye contact, no remorse for making us wait, nit saying sorry for making us wait, even yelling to the house keeping in front of us. Having the hotel full-booked is not an excuse for late check-in especially when check-out is basically at 12pm, are 3 hours not enough to tidy up the room? Do you expect guests to always be late to check-in in high season? Other hotels I’ve been to even let guests check-in at 2pm and it’s common even for 3-star hotels. Second, The lobby was confusing, no written sign on the ground level —had to be escorted/shown by the security. The management clearly didn’t consider what would happen if there were several guests and the security was busy tending to one guest and leaving the other guests confused. Need clear written sign! Third, I’ve never been in another 4-star hotel which didn’t have dedicated room to store luggage for the guests that would entrust their luggage. What happened when luggage get unsupervised while the lobby was so crowded and the staff were busy tending guests in the lobby table? Also, why the lobby only have 2 staff? This makes the process of check-in even slower when there are crowds. Fourth, when we get into the room, beside the room being so small and not up to the standard of a 4-star hotel, the room was also still dirty. Small amount of hair, discarded pencils, and rubbish still lying around on the corners of the room —invisible if you didn’t put the luggage on the floor but visible for us because we opened our luggage on the floor. Fifth, security is only one person. Cannot handle more than 1 different group of guests, of course us with small luggage isn’t prioritized. Didn’t even offer to help.
Overall a very disappointing stay, will definitely not comeback. Don’t let the 4-star hotel claim fool you because this is just another (maximum) 3-star hotel located in a very...

We checked in 09-11Jun 2025 3 rooms 410 411 404. Experienced pleasant seamless check in. Receptionist was great. Found hotel rooms were clean and comfortable as expected from Boutique Hotel at the price range. Highly recommend for those who doesn't mind the 'happening' and music echoing from the surrounding areas. However.. the check out process was unexpectedly very disappointing.
At approximately 1130am we gathered at the lobby downstairs awaiting for the routine check out process. We expected it to be routine no further payments due absolutely no room service were rendered throughout our stay. After waiting for quite a while, the male staff at the reception said that there's a stain on the bedsheet at Room 411 where my wife and I stayed for 2 nights. And we need to pay RM140 for the stain. I was flabbergasted! I went up the room and requested the room service staff to show me. After he re opened the room he showed me a small stain (5-6 inches) brownish/yellow stain which is perplexing considering only 2 adults stayed and there were no kids at all. The stain was located at the Base of the bed covered by the blanket. How can we be sure the stain was not there before we use the room. How can we be sure there is no deliberate action to put the stain there. That was going on in my mind . There's no way you can notice it if you enter the room unless you check every corner of the bed and remove the blanket to check prior to using the bed. Logically normally people would not want to do that as a certain element of trust is granted to the host hotel. The bedsheet was a thin white piece of cloth which I gathered would not cost more than a couple of bucks!
Nevertheless we didn't have time to argue as we had a plane to catch. We paid RM80. after a so called discount by the Receptionist.
I've stayed in so many hotels from Boutique to 5 stars over the years all over the world. This take the crown for ingenuity.
Next time if ever anyone plans to stay this particular hotel, make sure.check every corner of the bed and take photos to avoid these kind of situations. Hopefully this does not happen to other guests. Francisco...
