There is the Chinese restaurant that are located inside the Buddhist temple that has been operated since the early days. The restaurant name 天安 refers to the owner's name. It has been featured on the newspaper back in 2014. The main course from this restaurant are 上海麵扣肉(Shanghainese noodle with braised meat), 三色麵粉粿 (tricolor soup noodle) and 炒薯粉類 (stir fried black tapioca noodle). The Shanghainese noodle with braised meat does look similar to Hakka noodles, but taste were great. In the tricolor soup noodle, it means there are three types of meats mixed inside the soup that are in three different colors. Both tricolor soup noodle and stir fried black tapioca noodle were okay, but I prefer like the Shanghainese noodle with braised meat the most. Portion were quite huge and pricing were okay. Environment wise, it is quite very airy as it is an open space, and surrounded by the tree and lot of plants with nice Chinese decoration. The place is also very clean too. Can park bikes near the entrance in the...
Read moreI'm writing to share my recent experience at this establishment , which left me deeply disappointed. This morning, my wife, our two children, and I revisited this restaurant for breakfast. While looking for a suitable table, one of the staff members (an older lady) abruptly said, “Oi, you how many people? Go there sit,” while pointing to a table. Her tone was rude, and her facial expression was unwelcoming and dismissive.
At the time, the restaurant was not busy—only 2-3 tables were occupied, and there were plenty of available tables for four people. It was unclear why we were directed to a specific table in such an impolite manner, especially when there were more appropriate seating options available. As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy, regardless of the situation. The staff member’s attitude made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, which will impacted our dining experience. Therefore we left that restaurant and promised we would not...
Read moreArrived here for breakfast around 9:00 am on a weekend and luckily found street parking (finding parking after 11:00 am can be a challenge). The establishment operates from 8:00 am till 3:00 pm, closing on Thursdays and Fridays. The service was prompt, and our food arrived approximately 10 minutes after ordering.
As per the owner's recommendation, we tried the Loh Tung Hoon (with added liquor) 罗冬粉 (found it very bland), Fish Gravy Vermicelli 鱼露米粉 (quite enjoyable), and Fried Fu Chuk 炸腐竹 (decent). The total bill amounted to RM32.50 for 2 people (no drinks). The portion sizes were satisfactory, and the prices were reasonable.
Having visited a few times, we noticed the food's taste can be inconsistent, sometimes quite good, while other times rather bland or average. One aspect that bothers us is people smoking at their tables before and/or after eating. Additionally, there were instances of quite a lot of mosquitoes around. There is room for improvement in terms of...
