I would say one of the best nasi kandar in Klang Valley. I would give the food rating 6 stars if it was possible. We have visited this place couple of times on different time of the day and it never disappoints. Nasi kandar Gravy was the highlight of this place. The concoction of curries was on point and some had this slight smoky taste which made it stand out from other nasi kandar restaurants. Their tandoori was always juicy and tender and their mint sauce was quite a hit as it is different than other places we visited.
Only one time thing, which gave it a 3 star review, is the service. Service was good and fast all this while but our last visit it was quite disappointing. We had a table for 8 people, and once we finished our dinner, we ordered another round of drinks to continue chatting and catching up, as with other mamak/nasi kandar places. After the drinks came, and one of the waiters started to clean up all the plates even though the kids haven’t finished some of their food on their plate. Then they gave us a look, indicating us to hurry up. One of the waiters even asked us to finish the drinks within 5 minutes. We reminded them that the drinks just came and we haven’t taken a single sip out of it yet. I know there was a line outside queueing for table, but that’s how it is with a newly opened restaurants in KL and Klang Valley. You shouldn't treat your other patrons that way when we are still in the midst of our meals/drinks.
Nevertheless, we will give them a benefit of a doubt and still visit this place again since their food was amazing. Would update the review if the service gets better and we hope they their quality stays consistent for the...
Read morebeen goin here lotsa time but today i had the most inconvenient experience ever. reached the shop at 935pm and ordered garlic naan ONLY for takeaway. which usually if u dine in ull get ur orders within 10mins.. but then 15mins later, i asked one of the waiter if my order is ready.. and he replied "suda order?" i said "suda, suda bayar.." and he said aa okay okay.. then i tgk die xde pon pg check ke ape.. so okay.. i pon tunggu je la lagi.. then lepas 5mins i pg cashier pulak tanye naan x siap lagi ke? then with an unfriendly face die tunjuk2 luar.. and am like huh?! he said pg luar tp i didnt see anything than i tanye la nape? pastu die bg sign suruh bg resit kat waiter.. and we walked outside ade table yg usually delivery ppl pick up foods..little that i know, naan tuh dah laaaamaaa dah siap and was left there.. pastu i kate la x ckp pon kene amik kat luar.. then i walked away la sbb perasaan da rasa mcm nk marah..

Read moreRestaurant is spanking new. Decor is upscale compared to a standard mamak restaurant. Food is similar if not better tasting compared to the Penang outlet. The cuisine is a mix of North and South Indian fare with a hint of fusion. Try the Milani (Rice or bread variety). I have to say the service is superb (quick, attentive, and customer focused). But if you are less predisposed to spicy foods, i suggest ordering two (2) drinks from the get go. The manager and crew are all hands on deck as they say. Avoid coming during peak hours if you’re driving. It’s likely that you wouldn’t be able to find a car park and the jam surrounding Kapitan is frustrating enough. Try to reach the restaurant just before dinner time (8pm) or earlier if you must. Or if you live nearby, i suggest you Grab it there instead so you will avoid the circus altogether and get straight to sampling the food. Maybe the maddening crowds wouldn’t be there that early. Que at the restaurant runs fast enough although it can reach Secret Recipe (the old Baba Nyonya Restaurant) during the peak. Customers come and go as quickly so no worries about standing in line for too long i think. I think they are not on the Grab/FoodPanda platforms yet so going there is the only option for now. I truly think Kapitan Tandoori House could give Mahbub (Bangsar) a run...
