Having lived in Sentul for the past 7 years, it's been quite hard to find a consistently good, high quality, well-priced Indian restaurant until today. Manjalis was one of the finest Indian restaurants I've had the pleasure of visiting in my years.
Let's start with the food. I went with my 2 parents and we started off with the Mutton Biryani Special and the Paneer. We also order a Squid Fry and their highly recommended Bun Paratha. The Biryani was fresh, and had such a vibrant flavour to it. The Mutton was tender and extremely flavourful too. The Paneer was well balanced and extremely creamy. The Squid Fry was fried to perfection and had the perfect ratio of Squid to Curry Leaves. The Bun Paratha was the star of the show! It was advertised as a recommended bread dish and when it was served, it was flaky and hot on the outside, and soft and airy on the inside. It was by far one of the best Paratha's I've had. Then we added on one Chicken 65 which deserves its own review. Though it look a while, when served I can see why. It was super Crispy on the outside and was so juicy too. Easily the best Chicken 65, I've had in my life.
Though I was excited to try a dessert, I was far too full to have any. But there'll definitely be a next time to this place.
Next the drinks. The masala tea, according to my parents was the closest product they've had since going to Bangalore. To sum up, it was incredible.
Pricing wise, was fair given how much was ordered. We had an extra portion of a regular biryani and an extra portion of another paratha and all of this amounted to around RM35 per person, which is great for the quality.
The ambience of the place was upbeat and vibrant as the walls were splashed with colours of a beautiful mural and paintings.
To finalise, I'll definitely be revisiting this place every couple of weeks and I think everyone who's in the area...
Read moreMy family, friends, and I recently celebrated a post ROM lunch at this charming restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. We were warmly welcomed by the owner, Gauri, who graciously hosted a private event for us. The buffet serving for 40 pax was delicious, offering a wide variety of dishes. They did custom some of the dishes as per our request as well.
What truly made our celebration exceptional was the impeccable hospitality provided by the Manjalis's team. From serving us with comfort food reminiscent of home-cooked meals to ensuring every need and want was met, they went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The private dance floor with music of our choice added a delightful touch to the festivities, and the karaoke session allowed us to sing our hearts out to our favorite tunes, spanning from old classics to recent hits.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was simply beautiful, creating the perfect ambiance for our intimate gathering. The attention to detail and personalized service made us feel like VIP guests throughout the entire event.
Overall, our experience at this restaurant was nothing short of wonderful, and I wholeheartedly recommend it for any occasion. Whether you're celebrating a milestone or simply looking for a cozy spot to enjoy great food and hospitality, Manjalis exceeds expectations. I am already looking forward to my next visit. Thank you to Gauri and the entire team for an unforgettable...
Read moreI honestly feel this is by far the best indian cuisine restaurant in the Klang valley. Underrated to the max. Well hidden spot but does not fall short on the ambience being very cosy. Convenient so comfortable that my newborn was asleep the entire time.
On to the meals :
My mom had butter chapati with Kampung chicken curry. From a chef herself she loved every bit of it.
my wife postpartum cravings were so satisfied as she had the seeragasamba mutton biryani with the crab rasam. She was extremely pleased especially with the fried squid which is nicely marinated and fried not the gimic squid U get large sized poorly battered.
my sister in law had mutton fried rice. While my niece had egg fried rice. The egg fried rice was nostalgic for me personally as it reminded me of my childhood exactly how my grandma used to make it.
I personally tried the prawn fried rice. Where the prawn flavour seeped into the rice was bursting with spice n flavours. So much umami.
Must try : the mutton sizzler...simply scrumptious. The meat is so tender and the spice is infused so well with the meat.
Drinks must try : bru coffee and Americano orange(soda)
Definitely coming back in the near future. If you are nearby and confused what to have here just ask the waiters as they are extremely knowledgeable and friendly will share the specials of the day.
