Order: PAN FRIED CHICKEN (RM33) - Crispy parmesan crusted chicken served on creamed spinach and sprinkled garlic bits 🐓 BAKED MAC & CHEESE (RM22) - Macaroni with melted cheddar, topped with scorched bread crumbs 🧀
Verdict: This family friendly cafe in Bangsar Village is the perfect spot for parents, as they have a kids play area to occupy the children while the adults catch up and enjoy their wholesome meal in a cosy and relaxed environment 😍 How cute is that? 😉
Their menu is impressive as they served wholesome meals which are nutritious and well-balanced; they also have a kids menu for the little ones to gobble up to 😋 Their brunch menu seemed very impressive but I didn’t get a chance to try it since I came for dinner.
I was really excited to try their pan fried chicken as this is their signature dish here!! I’m also a huge fan of creamed spinach so I was overjoyed with the combo of my order 🤩🥳 The serving here is generous, but the food was below my expectations. The pan fried chicken was too salty for my liking and the creamed spinach was hardly any better 😭 The spinach was bitter and the cream sauce was kinda sour (similar to spoiled mayo) which put off my appetite. The chicken was soaked in the sauce so it’s hard to enjoy the meal when the sauce tasted weird 😩 This combination has so much potential but it was a shame that it tasted otherwise 😳
I ordered the mac & cheese off the kids menu as it made a really good side 🤪 I loved it as it was super super cheesy 🥹 I could taste the different types of cheese used (mozzarella and cheddar) which coated the macaroni generously - simplicity at its best 👍🏻

Read moreI recently visited this restaurant for the second time and appreciated some aspects of the dining experience, though there are areas that could be improved.
Starting with the Crematola Crab, the dish had a pleasant salty flavor and was satisfying in terms of the amount of crab served. However, I felt that the portion size could be larger relative to the price. It would be more satisfying if the serving were increased.
The Spicy Tomyam was quite enjoyable, with a level of spiciness that complemented the pasta well. I would suggest adding more shrimp to enhance the dish further, as it could use a bit more seafood to balance the flavors.
The Creamy Salmon Pasta was rich and flavorful, with generous chunks of salmon. Unfortunately, the portion size felt a bit small for the price, which was somewhat disappointing.
The Protein Power Salad was fresh and delightful. I particularly enjoyed the sweetness of the apples and the hint of mint, which added a refreshing touch to the dish.
Regarding beverages, I ordered the Honey Lemon Tea, but unfortunately, it was missing lemon. As a result, I had to settle for plain hot water, which was a bit of a letdown.
The ambiance of the restaurant has changed since my last visit. The vibe now seems a bit gloomy, with insufficient lighting that detracts from the overall atmosphere.
Service was generally okay; the staff spoke English, but not fluently, which occasionally made communication a bit challenging.
Overall, I appreciate the quality of the food but feel that improvements in portion sizes, lighting, and service communication could elevate the dining...
Read moreI have been a long-time patron of Marmalade in Bangsar. They have always served up some of the healthiest, tastiest and most affordable meals that you can find in Bangsar Village.
Unfortunately, my last visit to Marmalade (19/12/2016) left a very bad taste in my mouth, and I will not be back for a long time – if ever.
My last visit was on Monday, 19th December. I visited Marmalade for lunch and wanted to order A Chicken Pie, and – was told it was not available. then the Grilled Chicken but, then I was told by the waitress that potatoes, of all things, were not available.I'ts really ridiculous after being newly renovated & refurbished to have many things on the menu being unavaliable. I eventually chose to have the spaghetti bolognaise
The spaghetti bolognaise was the worst thing I’ve tasted. It was tasteless, overpriced, and disgusting. I cannot imagine tasting a worse spaghetti if I tried. To spaghetti cost RM 28 with little to no ingredients and overpriced for the quality I expected from Marmalade. To add insult to injury, I suffered a bout of food poisoning almost immediately after consuming the meal. In short, the service was appalling, the food was disgusting, and I was this close to reporting Marmalade for suspected food hygiene violations.
Marmalade has not only lost my business, they have lost my trust. Save yourself the dangers of contaminated food and take your business elsewhere. There are plenty of safer, better choices that deserve your patronage...
