Located in Bangsar Village II, a busy neighborhood shopping destination, the store is the first-of-a-kind for Starbucks globally and demonstrates Starbucks latest commitment to building a company where everyone is welcome, with inclusion at its core.
Starbucks worked in close partnership with The Society of Interpreters for the Deaf (S.I.D.) to facilitate the hiring, training and coaching of Deaf partners as they navigate the retail store environment and to teach Sign Language to hearing partners at the store. The company also is supporting a number of hearing partners at the company’s local Support Center to learn Malaysian Sign Language so they can communicate with and effectively train store partners and recruit new Deaf partners on an ongoing basis.

Still, this is my favourite Starbucks in town because it is managed and run by the deaf. The service I get from this Starbucks is better than most Starbucks outlet that I go to, which is ironic.
Of course the coffee and drinks will taste the same as per Starbucks anywhere, but one good thing about this store are the comfy chairs. If you're lucky enough to snag an armchair, you won't want to leave for some time - it's too comfortable. Sadly, this is abused by many patrons who are not even customers of the place.

So thankful to have come across this outlet. It was the first outlet that we have come across that supports the deaf community by giving them jobs as baristas.
At the time of visit, a male staff was super attentive to me even though I have yet to ask for assistance on a bag I was eyeing. He was super friendly and enthusiastic. Even the female cashier was all smiles.
The place was really clean, quite and cozy. A very good respite after the noisy streets of Bangsar or if you want a place to rest your tired feet.
Definitely recommend stopping by this Starbucks and get some souvenirs to support...
