Very disappointed at the food quality last night.

It was way below standard of what nutmeg used to be. We were a group of 10 and they had made a good arrangement for us with a separate seating area.

But when it came to the food... only the pastas and salted beef were ok. The rest southern fried chicken, burgers and other dishes were overcooked and didnt taste great either.

I had asked for over easy style eggs with the meal and instead it was fully cooked on both sides and when I told the waiter that I had ordered over easy.... he looks back and be and said yes this over easy. They had already taken a while bring the order so I thought no point making a big deal about it. Next thing the honey butter biscuit also was not good. Either not cooked properly or something wrong with it. Then the chicken..... you know it's just not a good piece of chicken if you're not able to cut it easily with a fork and knife.

It wasn't only one dish it was the case with multiple dishes and then the service also nothing to shout about. We had reserved a cake as a birthday surprise and we had told the waiters to bring after the meal but they were too busy doing nothing. When I went to ask him to bring the cake now. He brought the cake inside the box itself. We were like dude you need to take it out of the box it's a surprise..... and then had to ask for plates took them a while to get 10 plates. That's not it no forks so need to ask them again for cutlery....

I don't if the standards have dropped for good because any change in management or kitchen or was it because it was a day before Chinese New Year. I hope the restaurant picks up...

I visited this place on a weekly basis..once, twice, or even sometime few times a week, and each experience has been fantastic! The food is consistently great—delicious, fresh, and always pretty!. Whether it’s their pastries selection, breakfast items, or any of the other options, everything is made with care and quality ingredients. It’s just so good, and Nutmeg became my most recommended restaurant if i'm having my guest/friends who come to KL.

The variety of menu is impressive, and there’s something for everyone, from sweet pastries to savory options. My consistent menu for my OMAD break-fasting here is their Caesar Salad with add-on Gravlax Salmon, and Pecan Tart with delicious vanilla ice-cream. It just that I need to give a call everytime before I come to check on availibility because their Caesar Salad sold-out fast!.

The ambience is another highlight. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for a relaxing meal or a small gathering. It’s a great place to enjoy a leisurely breakfast or brunch with family and friends.

The staff are on the next level (seriously). Once you step in there, you will be greet by their friendly, attentive, and professional server and manager, making sure that all your needs are met without being intrusive.

Kudos to the entire staff team for making my every visit a delightful experience. Thumbs-up to Outlet Manager (Ms.Mia), Manager (Ms.Shikin & another manager guy who I forgot his name, sorry!), server Vijay, Khaw (who always know my Pecan Tart preference), Zaw Min, and all other server (can't remember all...

We recently had brunch at this restaurant in Bangsar Village 2 after not visiting since 2019, and we were glad to see that the food quality and portion sizes have remained consistent. We ordered three dishes: a big breakfast platter, an omelette with toast, and a loaded toast topped with salad and a sunny-side-up egg.

The big breakfast came with scrambled eggs, sausage, sautéed mushrooms, roasted potatoes, toast, and beef bacon. Everything was cooked well—the eggs were soft and creamy, the sausage had a nice char, and the potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. The omelette was fluffy and filled with vegetables and bits of meat, paired nicely with toast and a side of fresh greens. The loaded toast was topped with a sunny-side-up egg and a generous portion of salad, making it a lighter but still satisfying option.

Portions were generous, ingredients were fresh, and the overall balance of flavors was spot on. Nothing felt overly heavy or oily, which made for a comfortable and enjoyable meal.

Service was fairly passive as the server didn’t make any recommendations or interact much, but he appeared at the right times to take our order and check in. It wasn’t particularly warm, but it was efficient and fuss-free.

The atmosphere was clean, casual, and relaxed which is quite ideal for a slow brunch. If you’re at BV2 and looking for a decent spot for Western breakfast or brunch, this place is a solid and reliable option. We’d happily...

So, I've had coffee & cakes here several times but it's my 1st for brunch on yday. A friend already sat at the table but I requested to change to a larger (additional diner) but staffs weren't pleased. Btwn 10:30 & 11am, restaurant was less than half filled. Service quality poor because after 1/2 hr only some1 came to take our orders (that's after waving my hands tirelessly). However, the non-local guy who finally took order was friendly. Understandably that their oven suddenly broke down, but our meals don't require baking..yet served very slowly & weren't concurrently. 2 almost finished before the rest showed up. To my disappointment, the highly rated southern fried chicken was kinda soggy, unevenly seasoned & oily. The biscuit was heavier than a muffin (microwaved too). Yolk for sunny side up wasn't runny & salad totally drained before being dressed. 2 other dishes without pictures.. The macaroni & cheese cubes that came won a friend's big breakfast was like a puddle of chewy deep fried flour batter..kinda disgusting. Scotch egg may lack flavour cos of chicken instead of pork (understand it's a halal restaurant) but the flavour & texture were nothing like the real deal. To pay, again no one took notice. Decided to just walk up to the till 10mins later. If we didn't received warm welcome upon arrival, our departure was just as cold. We spent an average RM45 each (meal & drink) but experience did not live up to basic expectations..

Been around for some time. One of the OGs at BV2. Nice cosy cafe with plenty of seating. Friendly & attentive staff. Does get busy over weekends. Prices are a bit on the high side. We had an early weekday lunch here. Ordered their southern fried chicken & salmon eggs benedict. Portions were decent. Wife loved the salmon on her dish & the hollandaise was done right. While for mine the chicken was juicy with a nice crispy batter. Went well with the gravy. Potato hash was nice too especially with some mustard on the side. The highlight surprisingly was the side of salad. It had an addictive dressing. I really enjoyed it. Drinks wise the latte & iced Americano were well made. Strong & not too bitter. They have a lovely selection of cakes so we decided to share a pecan pie. It came with a scoop of ice cream. No regrets as it was scrumptious. Not too sweet with pecans all over. Nice cap to our meal. We enjoyed our lunch. If not for the pricing would come more often. Definitely worth a revisit.
