Interior decor is natural and not over the top, almost homely but still chic. Well lit, tables a bit closely arranged, conversations can be overheard by surrounding patrons if speaker isn't conscious of their speech volume. Service is excellent, as the staffs are attentive and has good soft skill, interacting with customers. Food and drinks arrived within 20 minutes of ordering. Food selection here is adequate, there's also vegetarian options here. As for the food, we had the smoked lamb gulf rice; big portion, proportionate to the price. Good presentation, rice is fluffy and fragrant, although spices are toned down(?) Smoked lamb is well seasoned, and finally decent tabbouleh (since most of the time they're either unavailable or was served semi-wilted at other places I've tried). Since this a more like a fusion middle eastern cafe, the flavours most likely tweaked to fit Malaysian's tongue(?) But I very much love their tomato soup, tangy+creamy; perfectly tantalising; will recommend this dish to others. Falafels were fulfilling, outside crispy, inside crumbly moist stuffings. Their accompanying sauce could be a little stronger in taste though but this is just my personal opinion. Lastly are their drinks, tried the chai latte and my subjective view is I'd prefer the Indian style version better where the spice taste is stronger, while the cafe's too milky for me. Good place to come here for good food, chatting with friends in a relaxing atmosphere. Would come here again to try their...
Read moreIt was my first time visiting, and I was instantly drawn in by the welcoming ambiance – no loud music, just a cozy vibe that felt like home.
I opted for their hazelnut latte, and oh my, it was divine! I believe they use Ethiopian beans, as the flavor was robust yet smooth, exactly how I like it.
Now, onto the star of the show – the smoked lamb shawarma. This dish came highly recommended, and now I understand why! Each bite was a symphony of juiciness, succulence, and flavor, with the perfect smokiness. And those hand-cut chips? Absolutely perfect. The sauce tied everything together beautifully.
I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu. Bonus points for ample parking space, making my visit hassle-free around 10am.
*Update:
Came during nightime. Last call is on 10.15pm. But I tell you the parking here during this hour is a nightmare. Probably because it's located near the famous Nasi Lemak Burung Hantu.
I ordered their Grilled Lamb with Mashed Potato. Perfect 💯! Never knew the pomegranate complements everything. Thanks for still accepting my order though I...
Read moreI came here for late lunch. I ordered the shakshuka with eggs and friend ordered the chicken shawarma. My only complaint was we had to wait around one hour for our food, I think there was some miscommunication with the kitchen because only our order was late. But they compensated with giving us a complimentary red velvet cake and my god was the cake good! It’s been a while since I had a good slice of red velvet cake and I must say the one here is amazing! The cake itself was light and flavourful and the cream cheese frosting was light but flavourful.
The shakshuka I ordered was good dy, tomatoey and cheesy and the sourdough bread served with it was crispy and salty. The dish was served with a chopped coriander sauce that cut the richness of the dish well.
The chicken shawarma was also amazing. The chicken had a nice smoky flavour and the veges in it gave it a nice crunch and freshness. It was served with a garlic aioli and a side salad.
For drinks we had water.
Overall, it was a good experience except for the waiting part. Will come back again to try their...
