My rating for this establishment is 4.5/10
I'll rate what I ordered:
Tenders (4/10)
Nasi Lemak: 6.5/10
Sauces: 7/10
Cajun Fries: 5/10
TLDR: Overall I think they need to make sure the quality is proper. Based on Jason's reviews, it looks promising, but then when I went to order it, the quality was meh at most. If their chickens (chicken tenders, fried chicken) which is the main attraction is already out, then there is no hope for the restaurant. Portion per price is great, though if the quality was messed to get those quantities, then they need to re-evaluate again. Would not come again until...

Taking your local KFC as a point of reference, the price is higher and the wait times are significantly longer. Do these inconveniences translate to a better chicken? Yes and no.
No, because sometimes you really want KFC. If you’re expecting something that will surpass KFC at being KFC, then I suggest you go to KFC, or arguably Texas/Church’s Chicken.
Yes, because Hot Chickk is really its own flavour. I like it. The sides are good. The chicken is served hot. The wait times are long perhaps because they are made to order. And sometimes I really really really don’t want to drive out to go to Hot Bird, which is its local competitor.
I would still go to KFC. But it’s nice to have a premium alternative for fried chicken.
I recommend the chicken tenders. Six pieces are plenty for the average person. Comes with two sides, which you are free to mix-and-match. Of those sides, I favour the fries, with the waffles fries trumping all. In a categorical second, their mashed potato is good.
I would also recommend two-piece chicken set (aka the solo set) as a cheaper alternative, although the sides seem to be pre-locked into french fries and mashed potatoes.
I have no opinion over their ice-cream nor their milkshakes, for I’ve yet to try them. The burger seems uninspired, and I find no compulsion within me to order it. Welp. At least KGB would still have business.
What else? Ah, practical things. Being forced to pay for sauces is a bit of a nickel-and-dime move. Parking may be non-existent (this is TTDI, after all). The outlet itself is clean. The staff are friendly (in comparison to other places in this city and the type of establishment this is). Tables are relatively limited. It closes relatively late, I was able to make a takeaway...

The restaurant looked appealing at first glance, which drew me in and made me want to give it a try. Upon arrival, I placed an order for several dishes and sets — including nasi lemak. I even double-checked with the staff to confirm if the nasi lemak was still available, and they assured me that it was. Based on that, I proceeded with the order.
Around 10 minutes later, the order collection machine beeped, indicating that the food was ready. I went up to the counter, only to be told that the nasi lemak was no longer available and that I had to choose another set instead. I declined and requested a refund instead. The cashier didn’t seem very pleased and took their time to return my change.
I initially assumed that the nasi lemak was the only item unavailable and that the rest of the food was ready. However, I soon realized that nothing else had been prepared either. So why call me up only to inform me about the nasi lemak issue? Why not take the initiative to come over to our table and explain the situation politely?
What followed was another 20-minute wait just to receive the remaining items. On top of that, we were not even given the correct number of drinks that we had ordered.
Is this really the kind of service that makes you expect customers to return?
To make matters worse, the food was bland. The oil clearly hadn’t been changed — the fried chicken was dark, overcooked, and had an unpleasant aftertaste.
MEATPOINT - nstead of rushing to open new branches and offer a variety of cuisines, perhaps more attention should be paid to maintaining basic food quality and service standards.
This was my first and definitely my last visit. Absolutely not...
