sited this restaurant in August 2024 during a weekday dinner hour. Made a reservation by phone, but I think it’s unnecessary to reserve for weekdays.
Here’s what I tried:
Jamon Serrano - Spanish serrano ham with rock melon. The ham was sliced thinly and tasted good, but unfortunately, the rock melon wasn’t sweet. It would have been better if the rock melon were sweet. NBDD BBQ Pork Ribs - This is their signature pork ribs, which I found to be nice. The BBQ sauce wasn’t too sweet and was just right. I would recommend this. Roasted Lamb Rack - We chose it to be cooked medium. I noticed it was still slightly undercooked at the inner part near the bone. I might suggest going for medium-well. The salsa verde paired well with the lamb rack. There was no gamey taste—overall, not bad. Boston Lobster - They are running a promotion where, with every RM150 spent, you can get the Boston lobster for RM58 instead of RM198. The grilled lobster had cheese on top, but I found it too dry and bland. The cheese had no taste at all. It did not meet my expectations. Iberico Aglio Olio - The spaghetti was nice and slightly spicy but tasted good. Opera Torte - Sponge cake with chocolate ganache dipped in coffee, giving the sponge cake a wet texture at the bottom and a slightly bitter taste. However, overall, it was still acceptable and paired well with the chocolate ganache.
The staff were quite attentive and friendly. The ambiance is cozy and relaxing, making it a nice place to chill out with friends...

Let's starts with the good. Pork knuckle, half slab of ribs and octopus was good and cooked to perfection. Flavor was on point, pork knuckle was crispy, and octopus was tender with just a hint of smokiness. Overall the food is most def worth the price.
The bad. Cocktail was horrible. A refreshing, cooling cocktail perfect for the summer became a bitter, sugary mess. It is my fault for ordering a cocktail when I should've just stuck with a beer but RM30 for a cocktail I expected an semi decent cocktail. Sugar was muddled but did not dissolve, limes were muddled too hard releasing the bitter flavors of the rind and crushing the pits making the drinking experience horrendous. Every sip I had to spit out crushed pits and wait for the bitter rind taste to subside. If I had ordered a beer I believe the experience here would be great. Hopefully management can try the drinks for themselves anonymously.
Wait for it. Another ding would be the long wait time for the food and for a table. I wouldn't mind so much the long wait if the drinks were decent to distract me from the wait but after waiting 30 mins for a table then another half an hour for the appetizer followed by another half hour for the entrees it just seems...
Read moreA rare lousy weekend lunch at NBDD Desa Park City! Havin’ eaten here many times before, the table service has been gettin’ from bad to worse! Today was no exception, with us being the first outdoor seated customers (naturally first to order too), our food came way past other big tables who arrived after us! Despite remindin’ a wait staff to check on our orders, he appeared somewhat clueless & had to send 2 other staff to ask us what’s the issue!!! Certainly miss the good ol’ days pre-pandemic where this place was more efficiently run by foreign wait staff! Very evidently the service at @nbdd_kl has deteriorated so spectacularly post-pandemic! And the food quality has gone southwards, both in overall taste & presentation as it seems the kitchen is operatin’ rather haphazardly (besides the wait staff)! Pity that things will never be the same as we have had pleasant dining experiences here previously! Management should really look into better coordination between front of house with the kitchen to ensure orders are dished out more efficiently! Time to move on I guess for future lunch options at...
