A Fresh Experience Revisited: Paper Fish TTDI. Rating: ★★★★☆
Returning to Paper Fish TTDI after a lapse of four years felt like a reunion with a dear old friend. The positive buzz surrounding this poke bowl haven hadn't faded, and my recent visit affirmed its reputation as a go-to spot for a satisfying meal. Situated in TTDI, Paper Fish boasts an array of poke bowls that captivate with their freshness and flavors.
The poke bowl concept has evolved since my last visit, and Paper Fish has kept up with the times. A notable feature that caught my attention was the shop's commitment to sustainability, albeit with a slight cost. While the additional charge for takeaway packaging and a paper bag may raise an eyebrow, it's heartening to see an endeavor to minimize environmental impact.
The Hawaiian combo poke bowl proved to be a worthy choice, boasting an assortment of fresh ingredients that epitomized the essence of a vibrant meal. The interplay between the ingredients and the salad was a symphony of textures and flavors that tickled the taste buds. The spicy salmon, one of the highlights, delivered an enjoyable kick that was especially delightful when paired with the nutty richness of brown rice.
The shop's age might be apparent, but it's the culinary offerings that steal the show. The commitment to using fresh ingredients and crafting flavors that resonate underscores why Paper Fish TTDI has retained its appeal over the years. The familiar ambiance adds a touch of nostalgia to the experience, reminding me of why I had enjoyed the shop in the first place.
In conclusion, Paper Fish TTDI maintains its standing as a beacon of freshness and flavors in the realm of poke bowls. With a keen focus on sustainable practices and an array of delectable options, the shop continues to garner support from patrons seeking a wholesome and delightful meal. Despite the passage of time, Paper Fish TTDI remains a solid choice for those craving the perfect poke bowl.

Read moreI have never visited the premise but was appalled by the attitude of the servers working there. We were having our lunch at a premise couple of doors down and the Paper Fish staffs (in their uniform) came in front of the restaurant and smoked right in front of it. We were eating and the smoke blew right at us. The waiter where we're eating was considerate and asked them to smoke elsewhere. They left to the back half way through their cigarettes. Upon passing by the restaurant again, the Paper Fish staffs gave us a side eye on their way back to work.
I think it's just poor ethics. The law says you have to be 3 meters away from the premise, and I guess they assume it only applies to their own premise Also there are hygiene concerns considering Paper Fish serves fresh food, and we all know how tobacco leftovers work. I know people smoke, but maybe not do it during daylight at the front street,...
Read moreFood ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It's not that tasty or flavourful but something about it's simplicity and healthy approach makes it nice. You can build ur own meal or get one that they designed. (Found a sizeable egg shell in my bowl, not nice) Price ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A little pricy for me. But Rm18-22 is not too bad considering the healthy side of things. If the portion was 20% more then I think the price is fine. Environment ⭐⭐⭐ It's okay. Indoor and outdoor seating. My chair was a little broken. The screws on the bottom of the chairs came out and felt uneven when sitting on the metal seat. Presentation ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I like how the food looks in in the bowl, very well presented. Nice for IG post haha.
Overall I would give a 5 star if there wasn't an egg shell in my meal 🙏🏻 hope they can take care of...
