After watching Nonnas the Movie, I found myself longing for an Italian meal steeped in tradition and flavour. Earlier this week, I tried to make a reservation at the restaurant via their website, only to find it marked as fully booked. I added myself to the waitlist, unsure of what to expect—but to my delight, within five minutes I received a confirmation email.
When I arrived, I was the first diner there. Even as we left, many tables were not occupied! While I understand the desire to manage capacity and maintain a sense of exclusivity—especially at this price point—the overly restrictive reservation system may inadvertently discourage potential diners. A more transparent system or even a refundable deposit request would feel more reasonable and welcoming.
That said, once seated, it was a truly delightful experience.
Let’s talk food. Delicious, scrumptious, hearty, elegant—all apt descriptions, but still not quite enough. Every dish we ordered was a celebration of Italian culinary tradition: from the comforting Polpettine Fritte and velvety Eggplant Parmigiana to the decadent Involtini Al Tartufo—each bite was a joy.
The pasta dishes were the highlight. The Pappardelle con Guancia di Manzo was rich and tender, the Cappellini al Nero di Seppia al Frutti di Mare was a gorgeous seafood medley, and the Risotto al Frutti di Mare was just the right balance of briny and creamy. Could do with a little more cream but that's how we roll.
We also shared two pizzas to round off the meal—by then, we were far too full for dessert. We'd have to go back to try that.
Service was generally good—though the food arrived before our soft drinks, the staff were attentive, and water was promptly served, which was appreciated.
In all, the experience was warm, flavourful, and worth returning for. I’ll definitely be back—but I do hope the reservation process becomes more user-friendly. A restaurant this good deserves to be...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Stefania a charming Italian restaurant that truly hit all the right notes — from the food to the service, everything was top-notch.
We were enchanted by the interior decor. It was exquisite, with warm lighting, elegant details, and an ambiance that struck the perfect balance between cozy and sophisticated.
From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with genuine warmth and attentiveness. The customer service was absolutely on point — friendly, prompt, and never overbearing. It set the tone for what turned out to be a memorable meal.
We started with a fresh and vibrant garden salad, Insalata Di Pomodoro, crisp and perfectly dressed — simple yet full of flavor. Then came the truffled mushroom pizza, which was divine. The truffle aroma was beautifully balanced, and the earthy richness of the mushrooms paired so well with the crispy, wood-fired crust. For mains, we had a classic spaghetti dish, Capellini Al Nero Di Seppia Ai Frutti Di Mare that was executed flawlessly — al dente pasta coated in a well-seasoned sauce.
One of the highlights of the meal was when the chef personally came out to chat with us. It was such a nice touch that made the experience feel even more personal and special. You could really feel the passion behind the food.
All in all, it was a lovely evening filled with comforting Italian flavors, warm hospitality, and a sense that we were genuinely welcomed and cared for. Definitely a place I’d go back to — and recommend to anyone who appreciates good food and great...
Read moreFirst time trying and I’m in love!! The foods that we ordered meet the expectations. From the meatballs to pappardelle and pizza, chef’s kiss!
Meatballs - the tomato gravy/arrabbiata sauce just perfect balance between sour and salty, the meatballs were tender. The sauce was so good we dipped our pizza into it lol.
Pappardelle beef - the pasta itself was al Dente, it has the light chewiness and it pickup the gravy so well. The gravy was good, not overpowering and has a nice balance between the pasta and the meat, it will not gonna make you feel ‘jelak’ too.
Tartufo pizza - wild mushroom and truffle, can never go wrong! The pizza base was airy and crispy at the edge. The smell of the truffle were very pleasant, not overpowering. The light sauce/cheese complement the whole pizza taste. They are very generous with the mushroom portion too.
The ambience is very relaxing, great place to celebrate occasions like birthday or anniversary or just dinner date! The waiter that serves us was nice and attentive. However we wish other waiters could smile a bit to the customers as their faces can look quite ‘garang’ if they didn’t smile. The chef walked around and greeted us too. Also the hostess, she was very warm and welcomed us with a nice smile. She took great photos of us (nice angle and shots) so plus point for her!
We will definitely come back again to Stefania for Italian food!
(Btw the menu and taste almost same as...
