Being lucky enough to have had the opportunity to dine at numerous intimate Japanese restaurants in Malaysia, this is the first time that the head chef did not even bother to acknowledge us properly or even say a few words during a whole meal. In the off chance that it may seem unreasonable as the chef might have been very busy, this restaurant was almost empty, only us and another couple. It felt as if like we were unwanted guests interrupting his day, as the moment the food was prepared, he promptly disappeared behind without a word.
