I recently visited Wyndham Suites KLCC, which is a 5-star hotel located just an 8-minute walk from the KLCC Park. Considering this hotel was built just a few years ago, It felt as if they had been established for a much longer time due to the professionalism and the overall quality of the services and the rooms!
The area where Wyndham has been built gives off a cozy and comfortable feeling making it feel like you’ve left the hustle and bustle of the city. It is extremely close to locations such as KLCC Park, The Exchange TRX, and Pavilion Mall as well as some must-see attractions like Petronas Twin Towers, and KL Tower. With the hotel being in such a location it is perfect for travelers looking for convenience and quality.
My check in process went smoothly because of the staff’s efficiency and fluency in English which made conversing simple. After the check-in I was shown to my room which was on the 22nd floor where I had a beautiful view of both the Petronas Twin Towers and the KL Tower, It was an incredible sight to see. The room itself was modern, clean and most importantly of all it was spacious, with 2 Bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms and a kitchen with all the utensils you would need such as plates, spoons, cooking pots, etc. The quality of the beds and everything else in the room was simply of a high standard made to provide comfort to everyone. It felt as if I had come to a proper house and not a hotel, and to get all of that in such a reasonable price is super worth it and makes it accessible to a lot of people!
They also provide services such as an infinity pool and a gym which can be found on the 8th floor. The infinity pool was absolutely stunning with great, refreshing visuals which make it seem like a river in a forest. It has a sleek design and a lot of space for you to properly relax in the water, and if you don’t want to go in the water then there are also plenty of seats and sofas for you to sit/lie down on and take in the view. The gym, which can be found next to the pool has all the essentials you need to stay fit and active, its always nice to see hotels providing good gym services since it encourages people to stay healthy even if they aren’t at home.
The Breakfast at Wyndham is a self-service buffet which includes various dishes that deliver both tastes of Malaysia, as well as Western tastes so no one is left unsatisfied. I found all the meals to be incredibly delicious and filling while also being high quality and super fresh since they prepare and serve the food then and there. This breakfast starts at 6:30 and ends at 10:30 on weekdays and on weekends it ends on 11:30 so you have plenty of time to properly savor each meal you get. After breakfast I also went and tried their High Tea which started at around 2:30PM took place at the same area where they serve breakfast. As I sat down they wasted no time in bringing me my teas and the High Tea set which was something I really liked as efficiency is important for places such as these. Their High Tea Set included various sweets like Macarons, Pain Au Chocolat, Mini Cakes and it also had Fish Sandwiches and Scones served with butter and jelly. Everything was delicious and the whole atmosphere was super relaxing. They serve this High Tea to guests staying at the hotel and also to Walk-In guests who have to go to the reception to pay and collect a Lift Access card to get to it, so everyone is able to experience it regardless of if they’re staying there or not which I think is amazing.
Overall, whether you’re a resident in Kuala Lumpur or a tourist Wyndham is definitely one of those places to check out. They focus on enhancing the customers experience and making sure you have the best stay you could have, they have a friendly and attentive staff, and they also are in one of the best areas to visit if you want to capture the soul of...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at 8 Kia Peng Suites in Kuala Lumpur, and I must say it exceeded my expectations in every way. One of the standout features of this hotel is its fantastic location right in the center of the city. From my window, I had a breathtaking view of the iconic Petronas Towers. It was not just a distant view but a close-up one that made me feel truly connected to the heart of Kuala Lumpur. In fact, it was only a short 10-minute walk to the towers, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing.
Upon entering my spacious apartment, I was immediately impressed by its size and the attention to detail. The apartment boasted an expansive area of 68 square meters, providing ample space to relax and unwind. The well-designed layout featured a large hall, a generous kitchen equipped with modern appliances, a luxurious bedroom with a comfortable queen bed, a convenient washing room with a dryer, and even a mini room with air conditioning. The two bathrooms were well-appointed and added an extra level of convenience.
Fitness enthusiasts will be delighted to know that 8 Kia Peng Suites offers a 24-hour gym facility. This was a huge plus for me as I could work out at any time that suited my schedule, even after a long day of exploring the city. The well-equipped gym catered to all my exercise needs and ensured that I could maintain my fitness routine during my stay.
The highlight of the hotel, without a doubt, was the stunning swimming pool with panoramic views. It provided the perfect oasis for relaxation and offered a breathtaking backdrop of the Kuala Lumpur skyline. I found myself spending hours by the pool, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and taking in the magnificent sights.
Another aspect that made my stay at 8 Kia Peng Suites truly convenient was the complimentary buggy service and shuttle service. This service was available to take guests to nearby malls or the main road, allowing for easy access to shopping and dining options. The hotel's commitment to providing these additional services at no extra charge was highly appreciated and added to the overall convenience and comfort of my stay.
For coffee enthusiasts like me, the presence of a Starbucks vending machine in the lobby was an unexpected delight. I could simply head down to the lobby and enjoy a fresh and delicious cup of coffee anytime I wanted. This added touch showed the hotel's dedication to guest satisfaction and ensured that my mornings started off on the right foot.
Lastly, the availability of electric scooters parked outside the lobby was a unique and exciting feature. Although not cheap, the experience of zipping around town on these scooters was worth every penny. It added an element of fun and adventure to my stay, allowing me to explore the city in a unique way and create unforgettable memories.

Read moreThis was my second disappointing hotel stay in Malaysia.
I booked this accommodation online on an American booking site. Based on the information provided, I thought this was a traditional hotel booking. At check-in time, I politely proceeded to the counter and presented my passport.
The reception person asked me twice - before I could unlock my phone - to seen my confirmation email. I said, no problem, I'll just grab it from my email. Since I didn't have a local SIM, I asked for the wifi password so I could access my email. Mr. Reception refused. What?
I explain that I need to access my email to retrieve the confirmation number. He reaches for my phone. I refuse to hand it over - why would a receptionist insist on typing on the wifi password instead of just providing it? After a minor power struggle, he begrudgingly shows me a piece of paper with the password.
I retrieve my email, and provide the confirmation. He dismissively tells me that it's not a booking with their hotel. 'Oh, you must have booked an Airbnb.'
Um, no.
I contact customer service, and while waiting, I proceed to sit down on the lobby area. The 2nd receptionist approaches me rudely and ask what I'm doing about the issue: "Have you gotten your confirmation yet?"
I explain that I just spoke with CS, and they are about to contact the hotel. Ms. Receptionist tells me that the open air HOTEL LOBBY is for hotel guests only, and I cannot sit there while waiting.
Girl, bye.
Turns out the "hotel" has nightly rooms, and long-term residents, who after now listing their apartments online. If you book through a site like Priceline, there's a good chance you're NOT booking the hotel.
Clearly the receptionists dislike this, and they have an incredibly rude, dismissive air with the non-hotel guests.
Based on that, and their treatment, I would NEVER stay at the hotel in this property, though I could easily afford it, and the units are decent.
I've been to hotels all over the world - literally - and this is one of the worst service experiences I've ever had. There are several quality hotels withing a mile of this place. Try one of those instead.
EDITED TO RESPOND TO MANAGEMENT:
Your response is on par with your staff's behavior. You insinuated that I was verbally accosted because I was taking a spot from a hotel guest.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
When I arrived, I was the ONLY guest in the lobby. Three or four people arrived after me, and were checked in. I was the only individual sitting in the lobby, so your team member was totally out of line for her behavior.
I spend more than 60% of the year in hotels around the world. I know how to conduct myself. Your team was beyond rude, and I would never recommend your property to anyone. Your response did nothing to assuage my frustrations with the...
