Tucked away in the tranquil surroundings of Taman Bukit Indah, Sunday Coffee & Cakes offers a stark contrast to the bustling energy of Old Klang Road. Time seems to melt away here, replaced by the gentle hum of conversation, creating a space for authentic connections.

Their menu, though concise, prioritizes quality over quantity. After multiple visits, we can confidently say that every item on the menu has been thoughtfully curated. We have tried a variety of dishes:

"Sexy Leg" – a succulent whole chicken leg glazed in an orange sauce, paired with cauliflower mash.

French toast – a perfect blend of textures and flavors, adorned with fresh fruits and whipped cream.

Lion Head – chicken meatballs served with a creamy dipping sauce, a delightful accompaniment to their toast.

Morning breakfast – featuring chicken sausage, ham, egg, salad, orange, and capsicum alongside their signature toast.

Tamagoyaki Sando – a deep-fried Tamagoya, juicy in the middle and crispy on the outside, sandwiched between white toast.

Mushroom soup and garlic butter bread – a thick, not overly creamy delight.

Tiramisu – authentically crafted, not overly sweet, perfectly soaked with coffee, and topped with a generous dusting of chocolate powder.

Cheese Terrine cake – or burnt cheesecake, which is good but we have experienced better elsewhere.

Finding parking might pose a bit of a challenge, as residents tend to claim nearby spots. However, Sunday Coffee & Cakes stands out for its exceptional value for money and a calming ambiance. Whether you are seeking a peaceful corner to work or a cozy space to catch up with friends, this cafe is...

I've lived in the Bukit Indah neighborhood all my life, for the longest time it's been a fairly traditional predominantly Chinese area bustling with kopitiams, dim sum shops, pasar pagi and the odd car workshop.

However, what a surprise to discover this gem of a cafe on a very unassuming residential street. Parking is not a pain. It's fairly distant in nature from the bustle of Sri Petaling or the OUG market.

They take their coffee really seriously here doing both filter and espresso. Sporting a very smart looking La Marzocco KB90 on the bar, they surely mean business!

The savoury warm food has a nice 'ang mor' touch without trying too hard. I had the shakshuka when I went which was quite lovely. The cakes seem to be a popular hit amongst the ladies but I did not try any when I was there.

They seemed to have a sourdough operation going on as well being sold by the loaf as well as supplementing their hot food menu. Really nice! It reminds me of the Table & Apron style set up that they have in Damansara Kim.

The ambience is quite industrial indie, lots of concrete with a long LED strip running across the bar. Me likey! So done with the gaudy interiors of years past.

Kudos to the team for bringing in this little nook to my neighborhood. Don't get me wrong, I still drink kopi-o kosong at the Kopitiam but every now and then, one has to treat oneself to some specialty coffee. Life is...

Slow service, iced black took almost 20 minutes to prepare Ambience is meh Customer service is terrible: Ordered iced houjicha (RM14) Got a drink that is greenish and tasted like matcha latte Asked the waitress what the drink is, she said it's yuri matcha latte (stated RM14 on the menu) Told her I ordered houjicha, she said she'll ask the barista She came back and told me that the barista replaced it with matcha because they ran out of houjicha I was like ????? Firstly, I wasn't informed that they ran out of houjicha. Secondly, they did not give me a choice to change my order to something else. Thirdly, they replaced my drink quietly without even telling me??? Barista headed over to my table and told me, "Sorry I heard your order wrongly, also we ran out of houjicha so we replaced with matcha instead". I'm even more confused at this point. So did you get my order wrongly, or did you know I ordered houjicha but replaced my order?

Anyways, I got charged for yuri matcha latte, for RM15 instead of RM14 as stated on the menu. Lazy to correct them again, never coming back anyway.

*EDIT: Reached out to owner and clarified on the staff's mistake. Appreciate that the owner took this review seriously and has agreed to conduct proper staff training moving forward, may expect better service...

Revisited this cafe after some time; still the same except for a smaller crowd than it used to be. Ordered their: French toast served with a generous helping of fruits, cream and honey Sexy leg; chicken whole leg served with orange reduction, mashed cauliflowers and alfafa sprouts Fried chicken pancakes; fluffy pancakes with fried chicken fillets topped with arugula leaves, almond slices, blueberries + a side of honey Creme caramel; creamy and eggy with a topping of cream + syrup Overall the portions were big, presentation wise lovely. Just wished that they served maple syrup instead of honey for the two dishes that came with it. The chicken from the pancake could do with abit more flavour n frying to get the extra golden colour. What can go wrong with a creme caramel? A generous helping of syrup n cream (we love our dairy) so this was a perfect way to end our meal. Our dishes came fairly quickly; the staff were attentive to refill our water. Just some minor ‘letdowns’ that we noticed: - a male was seen sleeping at the cashier counter - their open concept kitchen was rather messy & rundown as you would notice if you are on your way to the washroom. Overall we enjoyed what we had 👍🏼
