Sushi Zanmai Eko Cheras — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

I recently visited Sushi Zanmai at Eko Cheras Mall, and while the experience started off rocky, it ended on a positive note thanks to their exceptional staff. Upon arrival, I had to wait for 30 minutes to be served, and to my dismay, other tables who arrived later were served before me. Naturally, this left me feeling quite frustrated.

However, what truly turned the situation around was the excellent attitude and service of one of the staff. She approached me with genuine warmth and professionalism, acknowledging the delay and making an effort to ease my frustration. Her calm demeanor and willingness to address my concerns with sincerity and a smile made a big difference.

While the wait time could definitely use improvement, I have to applaud this staff member for her remarkable customer service. It's rare to find someone who can turn a negative experience into a positive one through sheer dedication and a pleasing approach. Because of her efforts, I left with a much better impression of the restaurant.

I’m very impressed with this grill salted mackerel from sushi zanmai 😌With only rm15.80, the fish was nicely grilled and the portion is ideal.

All this while, i use chopstick to break the fish into small pieces to eat , but this time I was too hungry, I took the whole large piece and bite. Lo and behold, the aroma of the grill fish is mind-blowing! This is the right way to eat it la! I don’t like MSG kinda salty food, but this salted grill fish is on point! Half way finishing my meal, l was about to order some vege to balance my palette , I decided to try out the rough salt garnish that I’ve been ignoring since served, to my surprise; it wasn’t salt , it was minced-radish! I am mesmerised , the chef really take care of their customer’s palette!

The service of the restaurant is extremely bad. The workers are unfriendly. Today, I order 2 plates of sushi and a salad for take away. The cashier told me the waiting time is 15 mins. After 15 mins, my order is not done yet. I went to request the worker to check. The worker ignores my request. Later after 5 mins, another waiter came and told me I have to wait for another 5 mins. After 5 mins, my food wasn’t ready. Without any updates they kept me waiting for another 15 mins. The restaurant wasn’t very occupied as it is not dinner time yet.
