A unique combination of high-quality protein and vital nutrients make fish an invaluable food. Fish is the most important protein source in many developing countries. As for me, this place has definitely served the fine quality fish / seafood / salmon.
Nevertheless fish is extremely important for human nutrition. It not only contains healthy protein but also many nutrients that do not occur in such quantity and diversity either in cereals or other crops or in meat. So fish makes an essential contribution to a healthy diet. Its most important constituents include proteins, certain fatty acids, vitamins and minerals.
The salmon that I have ordered are cooked perfectly while maintaining it's freshness. At first you might mistaken this place to be solely a sushi / Japanese restaurant. However the unique combination of fusion dishes are remarkable. You couldn't ask for more fresher salmon than those served here. You could dednitely feel the large quantities of unsaturated fatty acids, particularly omega-3 fatty acids, in the case of fatty fish like salmon and mackerel.
That's all I can say about the food. As for the restaurant itself, it is a cozy restaurant which leaves the best impressions! Hospitable customer service, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, and wonderful dessert. I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVisited this place on a weekday for lunch and the ambience is relaxing without the crowd.
As a first timer, it's always helpful to have food pics in the menu to help envision how it looks like. But since menu is all words, it took me a while to perfect my choice š
The barachirashi don was a good choice. The sashimi were all very fresh with no fishy smell. It comes with diced salmon, maguro, shiro maguro, chopped salmon, tobikko, cucumber, scallion and nori which was a refreshing blend.
But the spicy gyutan don (beef tongue) is the better dish for a meat lover like myself. The gyutan slices were a bit thin but tender. The dish is umami with a hint of spiciness, scallion, garlic, sesame, nori and teriyaki sauce.Ā I personally like it to be spicier. The onsen tamago is perfect to go with the whole flavour.
As if it's not enough, I ordered their best selling fat fish pizza too. Upon first bite, the teriyaki sauce may be a bit too overwhelming as the fresh sashimi would be already perfect on its own. The crispy rice dough as base is really interesting to go with the sashimi but I prefer it the dressing to be more toned down. Would I order it again.. Nope.
Overall, I would come back to try out more of the sashimi selection. The waiters are really initiative to refill our green tea too. I like the overall ambience & food and the price is not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOverall, just OK. Wouldnāt go back though. Had the lamb pasta (a monthly special maybe) and their signature pizza.
Why did I go here? I asked them on IG if they served Tuna Steak. Their IG corespondent said āyesā. Excited, I made my way to Mont Kiara, mahal place and got to the restaurant. When I didnāt see it on the menu and asked the waitress, lo and behold, they DO NOT serve tuna steak. Can you feel my disappointment? Itās ok. I did. I mean donāt say you serve it when you donāt. Trying to con me?
Since weāre already here and hungry, might as well order. Their con worked. Haha
Lamb Pasta 2/5 Meh. The tomato sauce was overpowering the taste of the lamb. Pasta was cooked good though. But I ordered lamb pasta and it should taste more lamb than whatever sauce they put.
Signature Pizza 5/5 This was good. Like Iād come back only for this if I ever craved a sashimi pizza. The crust was special. You need to try this š
Waiter My friend and I were still eating and she started to take our wasabi and soy sauce away - in preparation for the restaurant mid-day closure. Of course I stopped her, saying we still want it. She was busy clearing out every other table, placing things on the counter when there were still customers in the shop.
Donāt think Iād be back unless I super...
