THE HUNGRY LAB — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Was out for breakfast on a Sat morning with another person and we ordered food without coffee.

We got the Three Little Pigs and Snow White and shared our food just to balance things out since the latter is the vegetarian option they have there. I like this order combo since Pigs and Snow White are actually happy characters and it was great to be able to rekindle some of those childhood memories.

Taste wise, Three little pigs is quite good though the presentation could have been better. The portion is generous as well. I like how there are 2 slices of bread to compliment the porky pork + cheese. Yum yum

Snow white is not actually white but a big giant omelette that looks like a karipap so it is actually yellowww with a lot of mushroom inside. Taste is good as well but would prefer the three little pigs.

For malaysians, if a dessert is good, they wont complain but instead compliment that it is not sweet. For me personally, it is the level of saltiness that I am more paticular about so I would say that the food is well seasoned.

Both the food come with greens topped with honey truffle dressing... Truffle is something I am not too fond of so maybe The hungry lab might want to consider 2 different options when it comes to dressing.

It was 10am when I arrived so it was still quite quiet which is what I'd prefer.

I'll definitely...

1. Good taste of food and environment.

2. Requested if there's any vegetarian aglio olio ( out of menu ). Waitress said yes there is. So I ordered that. Ended up charging me the same price with Duck oglio olio. Waitress could have told me it's from the same menu of Duck oglio olio. How could you remove all the meat and charging me the same price with that without informing me?

If this happens in other restaurant, they would tell me that it's from duck oglio olio, they are gonna remove all the meat and let me choose if I'd want to proceed with that or not.

Not just saying yes when I asked if there's any vegetarian oglio olio. Then remove the meat and charge the same price. Misleading much ?

When I was making payment at the counter, I asked the waitress / cashier they charging the same for duck oglio olio? She just said yes and continued her work. I just walked way because I know it's the end of their shift and I didn't wanna make a scene. You can see it's being charged x2 for duck aglio olio at the receipt attached.

This isn't the CX that I expect tbh. Doubt I'll ever be here...

Food 6.5/10, Environment 7/10, Service 7/10, Overall 7/10 Staffs are friendly, Price on higher range. This cafe is serving western foods and the food is actually like the image on what you see on the menu. Ordered....

1. T.H.L Truffle Cappuccino Mushrooms Soup = Soup taste very rich of creamy/milky and served with garlic bread. The combination with the soup, taste better for the bread.
2. Seafood Spaghetti in White Wine = served with big prawns, and clams but.... Both of it was not fresh. Still taste rich with creamy sauce.
3. All Day Big Breakfast = If... If this still taste bad... I think the business won't get longer 😂. Luckily the Big Breakfast still taste better and I like the sausage, taste different from many of the cafe. Vegie also fresh, and like the bread they serve with it. (bread with raisin and walnut)
4. Dirty Nutella Mocha = served with Non Crunch Oreo biscuits and the mocha is too sweet for me and can't finish of it
5. Camomile tea = just a normal Camomile tea. I added my own bring Cookie on the photo. Service Tax of 10% will be charged...
