Drove all the way from Putrajaya for lunch today about 2.30 pm. Well 2.30 suppose to be not so busy hours isn't? Guess what im wrong. The place was decently crowded when we walked in. Chose a table and sat nearly 20 mins for a workers to attend us. Even ive been calling each and every worker passing by to take our order.
Upon the staff took order he mentioned that the items will take roughly 20-25 min as they “cook per order”. So our order was 2 banana leaf set with 1 chicken varuval and 1 mutton peratal.
We did realise many tables were leaving coz waited too long. And for us as we already there then we have no other option then just wait patiently.
Food arrived after 20 min and guess what! Its awful. The chicken varuval was ice cold. So how was it cook per order??? And to add the experience, the hot weather and the ambience is just not a good go. Many wall fans but its tooooo hot. Plus their exhaust fan in kitchen is out. Thus all the cooking smell and smokes are all over the place. Cant stand the smell and smoke. My baby was keep coughing and sneezing.
None of the items were great, period! Neither chicken, mutton, sambar, vege; nothing great.
I dont even know if they clean the place as i can see sooo many rubbish around and at the table sides. Overall it was a very very very bad experience. Will definitely wont return.
Note: tried this place due to KL Foodie review and if you looking for the other menus please go after 6 pm as they only open...
Read moreWent for lunch today and unfortunately, at noon, they only had the banana leaf meal available. The other stalls only open at 6 PM. We ordered a banana leaf meal, one mutton varuval, and a moor ice.
The waiting time was disappointing — we noticed a few other customers were also unhappy with the delay. When the mutton varuval and banana leaf meal finally came, the vegetables were very disappointing. They could offer different vegetable options instead of just sawi, beans (which could be cut into nicer shapes instead of long strips), and a very small portion of brinjal.
It was basically just rice and sambar. According to the menu, the meal should include thovayal, pickle, rasam, and a few gravies for RM8, but a few items were missing. If you’re serving a banana leaf meal, it should be complete. The waiter should also ensure all the dishes are served properly. I don’t understand why they couldn’t manage the restaurant better — it’s not even that difficult.
As for the mutton varuval, it could have been drier and had too many bones and fatty pieces instead of proper meat. For RM14, it’s really not worth it — I’ve eaten at many places where RM14 gets me plenty of meat and no bones.
The moor ice was good, no complaints there.
Overall, a really disappointing experience. Don’t trust the reviews on social media — they don’t reflect...
