Terrible service, I've read a lot criticism about the service before visit this place.
Went 9 Oct 21 1240pm for lunch and with reservation booking.
Reached with no single waiters directing or welcoming. Then proceed with our orders, serviced oddly unfamiliar with the menu from the waiter, filled with all inexperienced foreign workers.
And not forgetting with long waiting and worst thing you can find, air conditioning is dysfunction. Steaming hot weather at noon hours?! We changed 3 seats eventually had to be seated outside café.
Ordered 2 XXXL hairy crab, and lobster+salmon sets. But served in lukewarm condition, not welll prepared cuts (we do reluctantly accept) but then provide us with plastics utensils and tiny little crooked scissors, this is utterly awful. Which common standards should be full sets of stainless steel cutlery and crabs claw cutters.
Condition of the restaurant is at the worst, worn off and teared off seats, poor lighting and dimmed horror environment, and worst of all the live seafood fishery options is so limited.
One of the worst experience we've been through. Will never revisit but definitely will ask all our friends and family, that this place is for sure on your...
Read moreFirst of all, not impressed with the parking charges. RM10 to get in and dine here.
Then when we decided to dine in here, there are so many choices on the menu. We ordered a sashimi for 2-3pax and I think it is overpriced for what it is. Portion and quality is below average and what made it worse is our scallop is not fresh!! I told the waiter and he took it away to show the chef. He first came back saying that it is normal for scallop to taste like that. I told him that I know what’s a fresh scallop taste like and what I had was not fresh. I was fuming when the chef said that we only complained after we ate it!! It was like this restaurant is not open for any customer feedback.
After we had the sashimi, I think we waited for almost half an hour. We had to remind the waiter that we are still waiting for our foods. To be honest, the melon soft shell crab maki was interesting but I think it will be nicer if the soft shell crab was crispier or warmer. It was cold and soggy.
Service was average but the bill arrives very quickly though. Overall, I think the experience was bad for me. I think we won’t...
Read moreI recently enjoyed a beautifully presented unagi don set, and it was a thoroughly satisfying experience. The highlight was the bowl of warm, fluffy Japanese rice topped with tender grilled eel glazed in a rich, slightly sweet tare sauce. The eel was perfectly cooked—silky and buttery, with just the right amount of char to add a gentle smokiness. A sprinkling of fresh spring onions and a touch of nori gave a fresh lift to each bite.
The accompanying sides complemented the main dish well. The edamame were lightly salted and served warm, ideal for snacking between bites. The miso soup had a delicate umami depth, and the small tofu side dish added a pleasant, creamy contrast.
Overall, the meal struck a nice balance of flavours and textures. Presentation was inviting without being overly fussy, and portion sizes felt generous without being heavy. If you’re craving authentic Japanese comfort food with a focus on quality ingredients and simple, well-executed preparation, this unagi don set is an...
