Spice Market Restaurant — Restaurant in Langkawi Island

[Honest review] High expectation but bad reality. Purposely planned and went for the Seafood Buffet and totally disappointing. Food is bad, Chef's attitude is bad too. He came by and asked how is the food going and we gave our very honest feedback. Once heard that the food is not as expected, he wanted to turn his back and walk away from us while we were still giving our feedback. All he wants is sweet talk and lies.

Boiled Crabs and Prawns were placed on the ices and there were flies around it. There were just a few pieces and I bet there isnt anyone that had took a single piece as there were only a few customers at that time.

There were BBQ section outside and I would say that will be the better food compared the normal ones. But Variety arent much and there are only prawns, satay, beef, lamb , mussels and fish.

There were also soup noodles section like curry noodles and tomyum soup noodles. The meatballs in the tomyum were sour and we immediately spit it out.

Cakes: The dessert were simply displayed nicely but taste horrible. When we wanted to take the cakes, the pieces cant be removed. It is stick to the original pieces! Cream puff tasted like it has been placed there for a few days and its harden!

Most of the cooked food are spicy!

Paid for a 5 star resort buffet but a 1 star buffet standard. We are not expecting too much. Not recommended and would not...

Went here for dinner as the reviews were good, but didnt enjoy the mains at all. The spring rolls were amazing but the mains were very average, random and just made me feel ill afterwards. One had loads of cheese chunks in the dish that were dry and tough with not much sauce, the other had a spicy gravy which was nice, but complimented by a random piece of chicken that was like a bit of dry old KFC, and a king prawn that was battered and fried but not shelled so when you bit into it you realized it couldn't just be eaten, and also had some horrid dried fish thing with it. Was one of those lessons that the fancy places don't always have...

Service is not prompt and menu items are spread across places leaving people to search as the attendents themselves don't know. There are very few attendents. There is no consideration for vegetarian eaters leaving few of my friends empty stomach. Food is not properly separated for Veg and nonveg and barbeque chef uses same spatula for veg nonveg. Food taste is not bad and I can appreciate their effort for making Indian dishesh but selection of Indian menu can definitely...
