I rarely leave reviews online but this is really too much, I called the restaurant at 10pm to ask if they can still accept customers since I myself understand its already late but it was a weekend but they did not answer the phone so I entered the restaurant to check and they greeted us with smiles and a happy face despite us entering at 10pm, the owner just briefly said they will close at 10.30 but they didn’t stop us from entering so we figured 10.30 is the last call and they will close at 10.45/11pm, the food itself took 20 mins with arrive and the worker took 8 mins to cook, they only started letting us eat our burning hot soup and flaming hot pork that was just done cooking at 10.28pm, how do you expect us to eat in 2 mins? You are the owner of the restaurant, you should know how long the workers take to prepare the food and how long we might take to eat, if you allowed us into the restaurant and expect us to eat in 2 mins and chase us out and you expect us to pay RM150 for eating within 5 mins, you are an extremely selfish owner, you didn’t even apologise and gave us the worst facial dxpression when we left, excuse you, you are aware that we paid service charge right? If you can’t accept customers cause its late, just say so, don’t expect your customers to eat in 2 mins so you can earn that extra RM150, the soup was burning hot so how can i drink it fast? I burnt my tongue trying to drink your burning hot soup in 2 mins, maybe you should try finishing hot soup in 5 mins and see if you can do so, freaking selfish owner, i would suggest anyone reading to eat at shu peo, service is amazing and price is way better than this. WORST KBBQ SERVICE EVER! Hope you’ll open your eyes and be nicer to customers that...
Read moreWill not be coming back again. Poor attitude and subpar food.
We got the 10+ pax table, filled with young working professionals. 15 minutes into the wait for the rest of our party to join us, we were hastily greeted by a server who seemed displeased, with only half of the table being filled, and rushed for us to order.
We ordered 2 sets that totaled to around RM400 at the start of the meal. During our meal, the SAME server who was not assigned to our table, who I presumed from his prideful demeanor, is the senior server/ supervisor, interrupted us amidst out conversation to point out that we have a minimum spending requirement for the largest table in the restaurant. I was already unhappy with his many restrictions pulled from thin air and his rushed attitude that evening. Despite my growing frustration, I complied with the spending requirement and continued with our meal.
At the end of the evening, after paying around a RM500 bill, we were ready to leave. The SAME senior server came out and met us at the exit, checked the bill we paid, and start accusing us of discounting a single RM 8 item from the bill, with contention and skepticism. We offered to double check. After tallying the order quantity with the group, and realizing his mistake, he dismissed us without an apology and moved on to other customers. That really set the group off before we left.
Considering the subpar food, with dull dishes given its price point, together with poor service, and indications of a business model that prioritizes short-term gains, fast turnover rates, and display of prejudice, over great customer experience and relationship-building, we are unhappy with our experience and will no longer bring any future...
Read moreCame for dinner with the fam on a Thursday purposely to avoid the crowd after seeing the lacklustre reviews post their recent opening, hoping for better experience than the past visitors. We were welcomed fairly warmly and the foreign staff were prompt in bringing out the Banchan. Would prefer if the Banchans are given heartily during the first round as the frequent request for refill actually results in more wastage. The foreign staff obviously need more training as there is a big communication gap, they’re trying their best to help though and kudos to them. The local girl staff serving my table was another different experience entirely. I was checking on possible items which are non-spicy and her response was awful, stating all soups are spicy, non negotiable to make either no/less spicy for kids. Nevertheless I stayed to try further. She was responsible for grilling our meat and I did question on the use of the different sauces, which garnered monosyllabic response. There was no explanation whatsoever on the different meats or ways we may eat to enhance our eating experience. Granted I’m paying quite a premium price, I’m greatly dissatisfied. The only reason for the two stars are the quality of meat which was fresh and soups which was very flavourful, could be a tad salty for some. Hoping they’ll improve as there are many players in the Korean BBQ scene and we won’t have to patronage a place with...
