Bite of Life — Restaurant in Malacca

Had mixed feelings about our visit to this cafe. Dah woke up early & headed out to avoid traffic, only to arrive around 8 AM and find the cafe still closed despite Google, Tiktok, & IG stating they open at 8 AM. There was no prior announcement or notice on their social media. Had to comment on their IG post (no contact number provided, couldn’t DM), only then we were informed that the opening time tukar to 830 AM. A simple update on their platforms would have saved us from waiting in uncertainty.

Once we got in, we were told that food orders would take another 20 mins. While we understand that good food takes time, the long wait, especially in the morning, can be frustrating when you’re already hungry!

As for the food, it was a mixed experience. The daging dendeng in the nasi lemak was the highlight—tender and flavorful. However, the nasi lemak itself was slightly undercooked, and the sambal was just average. The bihun siam didn’t quite taste like what we expected, it was more like bihun goreng biasa. The kaya butter toast was decent, but the real star of the day was the hot cham—absolutely delicious!

Overall, there’s potential, but rlly hope the cafe improves in terms of communication and efficiency. A little more attention to updating business hours & managing wait times would make a...

First of all, Location accurate but if you go to melaka for the first time can be confusing?

I ordered :) Wait! So if you guys don't eat seafood, can req to them to change to chicken. :)

1. Nasi buttermilk chicken🍗 Taste buttermilk. Good and delicious. The portion was okay. 8/10

2. Spaghetti spicy tomyam Delicious. Had seafood there. The tasted was not bad. Kinda disappointed with the noodles. 8/10

3. Spaghetti Creamy Tomyam HIGHLY RECOMMENDS. I really love it. The tasted was so creamy!! Suit with my taste. Have seafood. It was good! 10/10

4. Mantou clam Mantou's texture excellent 💯 and the clam soup was creamy and delicious. 9/10

5. Nasi lemak chicken crispy The rice was good but the sambal was sweet for me. Honestly it doesn't taste good for me. The chicken was normal. 5/10

6. Pavlova Too sweet for me. Neither bad nor good.5/10

7. Double chocolate Frappe Not bad for those who like drink chocolate. 10/10

8. Mojito Soda herbs Tasted like tropical drink mint. Delicious! 10/10

9. Mojito rasberry This one i do recommend for all. Heavenly drink for me. Very good. 10/10

But the cons were the menu are limited. So it's hard for me to choose something...

What a unique find this was! To get here is a little weird tho - you have to walk through a dark back alley - with drains and dustbins.

But once you’re here, the cafe itself is beautiful. Loads of plants, beautiful lighting - very cosy!

1. Creamy Tomyam Pasta - 8/10 Very flavorful. Seafood not the freshest, but the spice blend of the dish was so unique and packs a punch! Great fusion!

2. Nasi Lemak Crispy Chicken 8.5/10 Fragrant nasi lemak with delicious sambal! Condiments were good. The fried chicken was crispy - but not as crispy as i expected since the name itself is called “crispy”. But the chicken is juicy!

3. Herbs soda 4.5/10 There’s 4 stalks of lemon grass in my soda - but there wasn’t much flavor to it still. The mint flavor was also very mild. I wish the would crush the herbs a little to release their aroma more.

Overall score: 7/10 Bonus score: +1 because the ambience is really very lovely. 🌳🌳🌳

Of course yes! The food’s good. Ambience is great. Although open air, it is not too hot. Their fan is quite food ya. The drinks could improve so much especially for the price they’re charging. Then it would be a great dining ezperience!
