This place was so horrible to us we were walking around sky avenue and we found this place at 9:40 we had no clue the orders stop at 10 they gave our food quick and we had to keep on asking for 15 mins just to get plates after that we order at around 9:58 they said to us then the kitchens closed they failed to even tell us the place is closing or when the last order is we are tryna talk to shiv( a bald brown dude with spectacles ) and he walks away from us then once we are done they have wetted the entire floor it was so slippery and they never even put a sign up showing that the floors wet we had a We had one of the worst dining experiences ever here. We were walking around SkyAvenue and came across this spot at around 9:40 PM, totally unaware that the kitchen shuts at 10 — no signs, no heads-up, nothing.

They gave us our food pretty quick, but we had to keep asking for plates for 15 damn minutes. Basic stuff, and they couldn’t even manage that. At 9:58, we tried ordering more and suddenly got told the kitchen was closed. Really? You wait till then to tell us?

Tried speaking to some guy named Shiv (bald, brown, wore specs), and he literally just walked away mid-convo. No apology, no explanation — just zero respect.

And to top it off, once we were done, the entire floor was wet, like soaked, and no wet floor signs anywhere. A senior citizen with us slipped, fell, and hit his head on the table. That could’ve been serious.

They don’t care. Not about safety, not about service, not about people. Do yourself a favour and don’t ever come here. citizen who slipped fell and hit his head on the table . The worst experience don’t ever ever come here they don’t...

I had a bad experience during my visit today, mainly due to the service attitude of the staff. The waiters were very unfriendly and rude throughout our time there.

We asked for a glass of water — not once, but three times — and only after the third request did someone finally bring it over. Surprisingly, it was a senior staff member who brought the water, but even he showed a very rude attitude. He came over and abruptly asked, “Did you get the water?” — not in a polite or respectful tone. (Look like speaking in mamak)

We also overheard how another table, likely an elderly couple, was treated when they tried to order food. The same staff member walked up and coldly asked, “Did you order food?” — again, with no courtesy, no “Hi sir, may I help you?” — just plain rudeness.

Later, when we went to the counter for payment, we found out that the rude staff member was actually the branch manager. Even then, he didn’t show any friendliness or appreciation. He simply said, “This is your receipt,” and walked away — not even a “thank you.” Hello??! What u rushing ????

We were genuinely shocked by the overall service. The attitude of the staff, especially the person in charge, was unwelcoming and completely lacking in basic customer service manners.

We came here to dine because of the food — delicious and appetizing, which is why I decided to visit this place.

However, I did not expect the customer service to be so poor this time. The experience with the staff, especially the store manager, was very...

We ordered Cantonese Noodle (Vegetarian), Fried Rice (Vegetarian) and Belacan Mixed Vegetables. Cantonese Noodle came first, followed by Belacan Mixed Vegetables. It tasted so good that I shared it with my friends and asked them to come here in the future. We waited for a long time but the Fried Rice (Vegetarian) was not serving, we had been waiting for 30 minutes! Many customers came in one after another. The strange thing was that 7 or 8 seats later had already been served, but our Fried Rice was nowhere to be seen. We had asked 4 service staff, including the Chinese female cashier, and she told us that we only needed to wait for another two minutes for the Fried Rice to come. However, we waited for 45 minutes and the Fried Rice still hadn't served. We told the Chinese female cashier that we didn’t want the Fried Rice anymore, but her attitude was very bad and she talking loud to us that she has to ask the kitchen to remove the Fried Rice. Why was she so fierce and rude? I have seen that Genting Highland staff are all very polite, except for this restaurant! The restaurant staff service is very, very bad. I also told my friends not to come to this restaurant, because you will be die hungry and have nothing to eat, and you still have to look at the face...

Been a regular to several other Madam Kwan outlets in Pavillion, KLCC, 163 Retail, 1Utama etc. Always liked the food and service there. First time trying this one in Sky Avenue, just because we were craving cendul for tea break…and MK serves the best cendul in town! We were a little surprised the floors were sticky as we entered the premise and as we sat down, noticed the table was also dirty. The waiter came and cleaned up quickly, but left the table wet! NVM, we dried it with our own paper tissues. During late afternoon, place was not busy but still we had to try hard to catch the waiters attention to get our orders. Honestly a bit disappointed as the passive service experienced here was very different from other MK outlets. Oh well, all is forgiven when the cendul arrived. MK lived up to their cendul with lavish serving of juicy red beans, soft cendul, fresh coconut juice, and plenty of gula melaka! And the iced white coffee was kaw and refreshing. VERY NICE! We noticed the cendul classic price here is about 20% more than price in KL (RM13.90 in KL). Not sure why there is a premium, maybe because it is ‘high up’ in Genting? On a positive side, Genting Rewards card holders enjoy a 10% discount, so that helped lowered the premium a bit.

The atmosphere looked nice, manager was friendly enough to invite us in and let us know what was available for breakfast. However, that was the end of it of what was good about it. Everything else was horrible. There were 5 of us but only 4 of us was served substandard food. My child was left without food as they messed up the order not once, but twice. And it took really really long for the children's meal to get served. I ended up giving my girl egg and rice as that's the only thing she could eat. My mum got served this very disgusting looking prawn noodle. The soup had all this bubbles and foam all around it. We haven't even taken a bite and it looked unappetising. I didn't realised Beef Rendang came shredded. This was my first encounter with shredded rendang. Again, it looked unappetising. The only redeeming food that was served was their toast. Nothing else. Drinks was soso. Feedback to the manager was met with we're sorry and gave a 10% discount. We had Genting membership so we would have gotten 10% anyway. Absolutely terrible experience. Will never come back. Don't bother with the place if you are local or Singaporean as they aren't bluffing anyone with their food standard. 90+ ringgit for such sad food.
