New Bee Guan Seafood Restaurant — Restaurant in Perak

Decided to give this restaurant a try during dinner.

What ticked me off greatly was their customer service.

Walked in & chose a place to sit. Waited for 10mins but no one bothered to approach my table. So, had to call out for the menu.

After placing an order, waited for 40mins, no food came, yet you see food delivered to tables around you, that came & ordered later than you. Called out & asked what happened to my order but was just told, yea, not yet.

Food came only after almost 1-hr. Bear in mind I only ordered 1 boiled soup (pre-cooked), 1 claypot tofu & 1 stir-fry kam heong cuttlefish.

Noticed focus were given to bigger groups. Patrons with only 3 or 2 pax were normally ignored or had to wait for a very long time.

Boiled soup was very bland, claypot tofu was so-so only. Kam heong cuttlefish was the better dish out of all. With 3-rice & 3-drinks, the bill came up to RM53.

DO NOT DINE HERE!!!!!!! This restaurant has the worst lady boss ever!!! My family and I entered the restaurant at 5pm. Still early for most people to have dinner which means we are basically the only customers there. We ordered our dishes as how I saw the recommendations here, then finally I had to add 2 fried eggs for my son as has he has allergies to most food we eat outside.

The lady boss deny our order for the 2 fried eggs, after pleading them to cook for him a few times she was firm with her decision not to, giving excuse that the chef has no time to prepare it cuz their restaurant is fully booked.

Dined in with family for dinner on 15/6/2024. Walked in without reservation. Very crowded and luckily we managed to get a table without waiting. Staff are friendly and quickly attended us with menu. The menu is very extensive. The price is affordable. We ordered some tofu, steam fish, asparagus and sharkfin soup. Foods were very delicious. Serving was slightly delay, that was because lots of customers. So totally understandable. The asparagus would be much better if it is served with prawns. Anyway, totally recommended. Only if you are sitting at the table near to the entrance, you got to be very patience as many inconsiderate customers walked in and didn't care to close the main door after getting in.
