As one of the older brands in Taiping, one would naturally had high hopes for this. The duck is quite juicy and the skin is quite flavourful but it is kinda 1 dimensional as you'd taste a lot of salt. As someone constantly complaining about underseasoning in food, I find this to be excessive to the point that I can't pretty much discern much if any herbs or spices used for marinade and infusion. The sausage was quite bad as the flakiness of the meat filling was strange. I find the texture of the rice to be just acceptable while the accompanying sauce was unacceptably bland, made with plenty of starch.

The duck has a succulent skin and top layer fats, but it lacked the siZe of a proper duck for it's meat. I think this is the best way to describe my experience. It really did have potential. But every bite left me disappointed. Sort of like eating teochew porridge served with skinny ducks. Or maybe I'm addicted to Travelling Ducks. Hehe...
Boss was friendly. Give good marks here.
All in. I paid RM 118 for half small duck, 3 fried pork chops, and added 2 pax duck breast, 7 rice and some drinks.
