One of the go to places in this area for hawker food. Can be quite crowded.
Frequently eat the lorbak and satay here. Tastes good. Satay has a slight sweetish taste which I like. Chicken wings are good too.
The Penang curry mee has blood cockles (nice and soft... not overcooked), 1 piece of curry chicken and a couple of fishballs inside. Supposed to have the pig blood cube but I asked then not to put in. Some people may like it though.
The popiah stall is popular and always have to wait very long. Stall closes quite early at night. Tastes good though. I noticed there are tiny bit of dried sotong or dried shrimp inside. Was told by another hawker that he will give to others who are standing in front of his stall first. True also, when I walk away to order other things, he gave to another person who came after me. Or when eat inside, the popiah will take a very long time to come (can finish 2 meals and it still haven't arrive). Price has gone up from rm5.50 to rm7.00 for a set (2 popiah and 3 pie tee).
Dry pan mee here is tasty too. And the big portion is big and satisfying. Good contrast with the ikan bilis taste. Soup also tastes nice.
The foo yong dan from the dai chow place, not so great. RM11 but It's flat (not fluffy) and no prawn inside. Although got quite a number of char siew.
The fried chicken at the fried chicken stall is pretty good when freshly cooked - crispy and fall off the bone. It's RM8 for a L-shaped thigh and drumstick. But what is not logical is the drumstick alone is RM6.
Update 26 Jan 2023: New Sarawak mee stall opened. Got some interesting mee here.
Update May 2023: The pork ball stall is gone. Now there is a wonton mee stall. Ordered the big curry chicken dry wonton mee and it...

This restaurant was a well known kopitiam food stall style in the neighborhood, been around for many many years
Not sure whether the stall there has changed hands or not. So my review is purely for the food that I have eaten on this visit.
As for the environment, sit outside open air with a less stuffy atmosphere.
Satay (8/10) not sure it's the same stall I visited few years ago, as I recalled the satay was quite good on my last few years visit chicken RM 1.50 each lamb RM 2.00 each stick meat portion ok peanut sauce was good, peanut taste with not overpowering chilly taste.
Chinese style grilled stick (7/10) RM 12 per set, depends on type of meat or item, for example pork is 20 sticks per RM 12 set while scallop is 7 sticks per RM 12 set. Stick size portion is small bite size, one bite chew finish 😂, the taste was ok, not enough of the powder. Pork meat was tender. Scallop size still ok. Sotong tentacles were too small, some barely just a small layer lingers on the stick 🤣.
Hainanese chicken rice (8/10) just craving for white n smooth chicken whenever saw those white chicken hanging at the stall, so decided to give it a try was quite a surprise the white chicken is smooth and tender , the soy sauce slight salty but if manage to control , just right for the rice. Rice also not bad with ginger taste and some butter fragrance. chilli was a bit watery and sourish. Ginger paste was ok too. taugeh is bit thin though but still acceptable. can give a try the white...
Read moreGood location and open till midnight. The restaurant has many stalls. The hygiene in this place is very mediocre. Food quality is just so so only.
Oyster omelette, 18 ringgits for a small one, taste really so so only 👎
Penang Lobak. 9.5 for 2 pieces. Taste not bad
Steam fish head. 38 ringgits. Generous portion and taste ok. But the fish broth was not drained off enough. The sauce becomes diluted and the diah becomes unattractive.
Mihun Soup. 9 ringgits per bowl. Tastes really mediocre.
Leong Kee Signature tom yam noodle? 13.90 ringgits. Taste and look terrible 👎👎. The noodles all mashed up and the broth tastes poor and looks really unattractive. Wonder how you call it signature dish.
Most of the workers here are foreigners. They don’t know and they don’t care if the food their serves taste good or poor.
Not recommended unless u really long for a “chinese” hawker centre at night and found no choice. I rather just go eat at mamak restaurants nearby. Plenty of...
