Worst hotpot experience ever!
Me and my gf were being seated by the waitress on a 2 person table next to a empty table, 15min later we were asked to moved to another table due to 3 customers were waiting outside and they wanted to combine both table together. Initially I was very reluctant to do so but still gave in eventually.
10min after moving to new table, I notice my gf's hotpot was boiling hot while mine wasn't, I decided to check on the stove and found that the burner fire is obviously smaller than the rest. I called one of the waiter to check on it whether it is due to low in gas and this is how he responded "this table is like this, the fire is small but still can cook". SO APPARENTLY you guys knew the stove on this table wasn't functioning properly and yet you still ask me to move here??
Without wanted to have the risk of eating uncooked meat, I called another waitress to look into this, she told me that the stove burner might be having problem and she can help me to unclog it without telling me how long I need to wait for it then she walked away. 5min later no one came to our table or talk with us to provide any solution so I decided to pay the bill and leave.
All in all, paid over RM100 for 15min buffet hotpot.
It's not my fault that I'm taking a table next to a empty table as your staff seated us there in the first place.
It is the restaurant policy to move existing customer around so that you could accommodate new customer? There is a 6 person table further in which is empty, yet your staff is so reluctant to give it to the 3 customer and prefer to ask and nag on us to move table?
Obviously you guys knew the new table stove is not functioning properly, yet your staff have the ball of steel telling me the stove got fire and can cook but after 10min the soup wasn't even...
Read moreOk first off, this is a singular hotpot style like two pesos. The space is limited so if you are planning to eat there during weekends, please book ahead. Firstly the food is nice. I think it's one of the better hotpots in Malaysia. The menu tells you how to order, choose a pot, then the base, the main, the sides (Noodle or rice) *and finally your drink. You can have a full hotpot or half and half or soup and grill. Most people go for the soup and grill. All meals come with the basic veg pot (carrots, pumpkins, corn, veg, fish ball, soy sheets and mushrooms. You can choose to grill the pork balls (the servers have a technique to grill them, where you should let them do it) then you season with the condiments (tray of sprinkles). I went for full soup (herbal) with normal pork) they have Spanish iberico pork as well. For Noodle I went for those thin pan mee. The taste of the soup was full and everything tasted well. You end of with pudding dessert which was very nice indeed. So why the 3 stars? I think it's incredibly expensive for hotpot, especially for the ingredients given. The value is not there. Worth to try once but one can't dine like kings always. This is an all mandarin speaking place with limited English spoken. The walls can be decorated by...
Read moreOne of the few buffet restaurants around the area, but so far the only unique one in that (1) invidual pots, (2) soup+grill combo pot OR twin soup pot available, (3) powdered seasonings available at every table.
The soups are nothing to shout about, but they're decent. Meats are fresh and some come covered in margarine (I assume it helps the meats cook better when grilled). I specifically enjoyed their homemade meatballs the most though, surprisingly.
Fresh vegetables are a little lacking to me personally, and they don't have empty taufu pok and fuzhuk sadly, but they have a decent spread of typical steamboat frozen foods, which includes seafood.
Other interesting things of note is the braised pork rice (quite fatty and has quail eggs inside), hot tea bar and other chinese-style drinks. Also, they have ice cream!
I really enjoyed their service, though they did forget our order sometimes, but all in all, not a bad place. It's a bit on the pricey side though (RM60+ per person, weekday dinner). They do have a membership program if you'd like to be...
