Went there yesterday for the Hari Merdeka promotion. I placed my order using the terminal and went to the counter to request for breast pieces to be excluded. The staff member was dismissive, telling me they had yet to work on my order. Aight, fine. I went to a few other shops in the area and came back more than 30 minutes later. The same thing happened.
So I waited for another 30 minutes in my car. Returned to check on my order and it was ready. I asked the staff to check whether they included breast pieces, and again they were dismissive, saying they were picked at random and refused to assist me to exchange with ANY OTHER PIECES, should there have been any breasts. So after more than an hour's wait, I got home, only to find out they gave me 4 breasts, out of 9 pieces.
Look, I get the limitations in trying to give customers a specific piece, but all I asked for was one, ONE, particular type to be excluded. Some of us simply can't stomach certain chicken parts. Maybe this place is okay on normal days (doubtful), but I would stay away from it during big promotions. Simply terrible service, if not wholly incompetent. Read moreService is horrendous. Hot and spicy chicken was not spicy at all. Tastes like original even though we had selected for spicy. I’m not sure if they’d swapped out for the original chicken, but if it is, shame on you for doing this to customers! If it’s not, this branch has to do something about their chickens. We paid for the spicy chickens, don’t simply exchange without our consent. We are paying customers. This is the first time in my dining experience with kfc that there are no sauces available on the sauce station. How is a fully operating kfc (and it’s a public holiday also) operates without empty cans of sauce station?? We were told to take sauces packets from the counters which they could’ve told us when we were picking up our orders. When we asked for the takeaway bag, a female staff asked why & for what???? If we need to pay for it, just say so lah. No need to be so unpleasant towards customers. We need to take home the chickens with our bare hands, is it? Read moreI’m not blaming the staff, but the leadership of KFC Malaysia. The service level and quality of food have been horrible these days, which is why you're losing out to other fried chicken brands.
The nearest outlet to me is KFC SS6, and every week the spicy chicken tastes different. Some days it even tastes like original. Today, I walked in at 10:15 PM, but I was not allowed to dine in because the section was closed. It’s not even 11 PM yet!
The staff serving me said, "Tak boleh duduk atas la, dah tutup." While it wasn’t rude, it certainly wasn’t professional. She also seemed unwell, and honestly, she shouldn’t have been working. The heat patches around her head and selamba attitide like the kungfu hustle movie's mak cik. Her actions, although not intentional, negatively impact the brand’s image.
Again, the responsibility lies with the leadership of this company...
