Wa Sushi — Restaurant in Petaling Jaya

Been seeing their promotional video on IG for a while and coincidentally have some matters at this area. So I decided to try.

I came on weekdays slightly after the operation hours start. When I first reached the counter, there was no staff so I had to ring the bell. I ask first if I can order or not, afraid they are not ready yet to take orders since the environment looks like it wasn't fully open. After making confirmation, I ordered Oyakodon Donburi Set & Chicken Karaage XXL.

The green tea was given without the lid as informed by the staff they don't have it. I feel a bit disappointed. The chicken karaage is served while it is still hot. The skin is crunchy while the flesh is juicy. Very nice for a cheap price. The chicken meat of oyakodon is tender but I just hope next time they will improve on the amount of sauce they put in, because I think it was quite few. For the overall portion of the takeaway, it was worth it...

Got to know this virtual restaurant from kl.foodie Insta page. Thought to give it a try and ordered their Deluxe Combo.

Here's my review:

Burgers - Chicken patties are very dry, and I couldn't taste any seasoning. To be honest, McD's Spicy Chicken is MUCH BETTER

Fries - Taste and look like those frozen fries where you can buy in any typical supermarket.

Price - Being a virtual restaurant, you'd expect the food to be priced cheaper right? Wrong. It's as expensive as any cafes, not to mention that the additional hassle to go all the way to their collection point (which is very jam)

Conclusion: Not all restaurants featured in kl.foodie insta are good Felt scammed ordering from this over-priced virtual restaurant that offer low quality food. Very disappointed! For the price you paid here, boy can you get a better option at...

I never had this style of sushi, WA sushi's sando. Wrapped with a big seaweed piece, tasty chicken karaage in the middle & dressed with wasabi mayo sauce. It was big & fulfilling. Will definitely be back for this when I am around this area.

What I hope for this restaurant next is to make up their dining area. It looks gloomy. My visit on 29 July was surprised with this. I thought it was closed, but I saw a Grab runner waited at the aisle. Shutters were closed.

Service was fast, although there were only ONE staff there. He took my order and prepared it. Amazing...
