The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf — Restaurant in Petaling Jaya

First worst experience at Coffee Bean. Not with the food or drinks but with the service here. Been waiting for my Breakfast Bagel since 11.51am to 12.18pm understood if there are many orders and I will wait. But the store did not have many people at this time and I just followed up to check on the order.

The lady told me I had to wait another 10 minutes for the bagel as they are doing the orders according to the order number. And I just glance through the restaurant as there weren’t many people and only 1 buzzer on the table.

So I told her politely, it’s okay I’ll cancel the order. She went in to check with the kitchen and a guy came out with a very bad vibe and said that he is already preparing the bagel and is about to pack it. He said how to cancel, I said I cancel because the lady just told me to wait another 10mins (which is total of almost 40mins for a bagel at a not high traffic morning.) and he said “who said so?! It’s just another 4mins” With a tone. I said the lady just said 10mins that’s the reason why I cancel. If it’s just another 4mins I don’t mind waiting. True enough the bagel came out within 1-2mins.

Very bad attitude from the staffs this morning from this...

First time visiting this branch with my family, and the vibe is just so good! I love to see how spacious the indoor seating is (although it may look cramped to some people). We came in as 8 pax and occupied the 3 round tables at the outdoor seating. Yes, it was warm and a bit hot, but the fan provided was powerful and easy to operate. If you sit outside and can only complain about how hot it is, clearly you need to make the effort to stand and turn on the fan. Duh.

This place deserves a 5-star rating because the drinks that were made were scrumptious; they really followed the order when asked for less sweet. I would like to give a shout-out to the barista Rezuan, who was really warm, welcoming, and thoughtful. He made my visit here with my family a memorable one.

I read a few of the reviews before writing mine, and I think those who were unsatisfied at some point during their visit could have easily turned it into a 5-star experience if they could just chill and voice out their concern during the visit. We can all talk; they want you here as much as you want to have a good time. It's a two-way...

Staff are rude. No suggestive selling. What we wanted they dont have. I ordered chicken terayaki cause i wanted club sandwich with pineapple and chicken patties. They said no stock. So i had to order the terayaki chicken but when foos arrived also no pineapple and the bread is not what i wanted. I wanted the one which is not so expensive with coffee and sandwich which later they said i never say properly. The staff rudely say to me they know what it is but rudely told me i dono how to order. Its a tall malay guy staff in the morning of Tues about 8 am when arrived there at the counter. He has a very defensive attitude.
