Vege Gen 素の年 — Restaurant in Petaling Jaya

I will give ZERO star but unfortunately the system is not allowed to. Went here with 5 friends and all of their food is already served expect mine during the lunch hour today. I waited patiently and finally the food is served IN FRONT OF ME (bear in mind the food is correct), but there is another customer shouting:"Nyonya fish rice should be here" and guess what, the waiter took away my food straightaway without explaning and serve to that table instead, the waiter didn't even verify which table to be serve first. Ok Nevermind, perhaps they have been waited for too long so i waited patiently again, and take note that my friends is half way of finishing their meal.

Waited about 5 minutes again, SAME THING HAPPENED!! The nyonya fish rice is finally served and place IN FRONT OF ME AGAIN AND PUT ON TABLE ALREADY, but somebody from the kitchen shout to the waiter again :"No No No not this table, is that table". SO the waiter immediately took away the plate AGAIN like what happened 5 mins ago which already placed in front of me, WITHOUT ANY EXPLANATION. Do take note that this 2nd table do not have any meal served yet but my table is all served except mine, and my friends about finishing 70% of their food already.

THEN GUESS WHAT?!?!?!?! I CONTINUE TO WAIT AGAIN FOR ANOTHER 5 MINUTES WITHOUT A PROPER EXPLANATION WITH THE SAME RUDE SITUATION HAPPENED TO ME FOR TWICE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have waited an extra 10 mins+ from the situation first happen mentioned above, and a total waited time of 40 mins from the time we place the order successfully.

Do you think this is the end of the story?? WELL HELL NO !!!!!!! We still need to pay for 10% service charges with such a sucks service given. So is this a good restaurant? Well I guess not for me. Thank you for giving me a chance to submit my very first google review in life, sekian.

Every 1st and 15th of the month (Chinese calendar), the mom will never fail to give a call & gently remind us about "these" days. In other words, she asks to be vegetarian. Not a must, but better obey la.

Vege Gen is just one of a few vegetarian restaurants in popular Dataran Sunway in Kota Damansara. I would avoid going here if possible due to the horrendous traffic here.

◾Fried seafood tofu - a nice snack to munch on with the chilly sauce. ◾Buttermilk oyster mushroom - nicely deep fried and doused with buttermilk sauce. ◾Red Wine Mee Suah - "hmm not bad" she said. ◾Tom Yum mee hoon - I forgave the flavour because it's vegetarian and didn't taste like the usual tom yum. The hungry son finished all as he liked the spiciness and sourish soup.

We ordered food from Vege Gen and it was a horrible experience both in food and the restaurant's owner/manager Mr. Endy.

We clearly mentioned of being VEGAN so it should not contain milk/egg/cheese/mayonnaise but at least 3 items contained milk, egg and mayonnaise.

Burger and Crispy Mushroom wt Oat contained mayonnaise. RedWine Fried Rice contained a lot of egg pieces. Pictures can be seen as attached. Also I've attached excerpt of the conversation with Mr. Endy (who says he's the owner of this restaurant). I even had a phone call during which he was so rude and asked to go and take their mayonnaise to a lab test and see if it contains cow's milk or soya milk.
