📍 Date of Visit: Saturday, 22 June 2025 🕘 Time: Around 11:00 AM 🧾 Stall Involved: Pork Noodle Stall (staffed by a foreign worker) 👥 Persons Involved: Myself and my elderly father

I am extremely disappointed and disturbed by the appalling treatment my father and I experienced this morning at this hawker-style restaurant.

After ordering pork noodles for takeaway, my father and I sat down at a table inside the restaurant to wait for the food. There were only two chairs at the table, and we were clearly using it. After about 10–15 minutes, my father stood up to get himself a drink. The moment he got up, a foreign female worker from the pork noodle stall rushed over and forcefully took his seat — while I was still sitting there.

I told her that my father had only stepped away and would be back shortly, but she rudely claimed, “This is my table,” despite there being no “reserved” sign or indication of any kind. The table looked like every other table in the place — available for anyone.

I then approached the restaurant counter to find the person in charge. The two boys at the counter pointed me to their father, who was managing the mixed rice stall. When I explained what happened, he didn’t even attempt to listen or understand the situation. Instead, he cut me off mid-sentence and told me to “not make a scene” and to “go sit somewhere else.”

This response was deeply insulting and dismissive, especially considering we were the only Indian customers in the Chinese restaurant — and everyone around was watching. I was speaking clearly in English, but it felt like my presence and words were treated as a nuisance.

When I returned to the table, that same foreign worker was still sitting there, glaring at me up and down — and then she SPAT at me in disgust. That was the final straw. My father and I were stunned.

Only after that, the owner and his son came over again. The father continued telling us to calm down, but only then did the son ask me what actually happened. I explained again, and my father pointed out the shocking disrespect of being spat at. Only then did the father raise his voice and say the spitting was unacceptable.

I told the son again exactly what the worker had done, even demonstrating the spitting, and asked, “Would you be okay if someone did this to you or your family?” He finally apologised, but the damage was already done.

Even as we left the restaurant, the worker was still staring us down, full of attitude and zero remorse.

❗ What made this experience so awful was not just the shocking behaviour of the worker — but the completely dismissive, disrespectful and delayed response from the owner. If the roles were reversed, I highly doubt the response would have been the same.

No customer deserves to be treated this way. This incident was hurtful and a clear example of how some people are treated as lesser — not just because of what happened, but because of how it was handled.

I will never return here, and I urge others to think twice. This level of rudeness, discrimination, and lack of accountability is absolutely...

We dropped by this corner Kopitiam to buy takeaway meals for lunch while waiting for the famous handmade wanton noodle place to open for business for breakfast. This is a typical Kopitiam at a corner lot with an extended sheltered outdoor setting. There breakfast food stalls are opened. The stalls catering for lunch and dinner were not yet opened. We ordered a few takeaway foods. Kampar fishball noodles and Seremban baked buns for afternoon tea. Service was fast and prices are affordable. Parking is a nightmare here as there are several eateries are...

Came on a Friday night for a 845pm dinner, and there were very few people here (only 2 tables occupied I think), and the corner shop opposite looked more lively, so we decided to give that a try first. Will try the food here at night the next time I am in the area. Place looks acceptable, cleanliness wise. Looks like they have dishes here that you can order and share in a group with white rice, unlike the place opposite - their white rice was of a low quality. Hopefully they have better quality rice here, so we can enjoy our...

So good able to revisit my old food joint again after 6 years. Of course my first choice is the Kampar noodle stall. I was so worried the couple no longer operating it. Thank God they are still have. My instinct choice was their curry noddle! Best part is there are many add on varieties to choose. Their add on is not those typical Yong Tou Fu type. It's different. This type is originally from Kampar. If you have been to Kampar town you will notice it. Well, really missed their curry 😜

I ordered (delivery) Kam heong chicken with rice for lunch yesterday from How YeeKee Restaurant section 17 PJ. Half way eating, noticed an average size cockroach in my rice. Immediately took a picture from my handphone. Did not had appetite to eat after that. The food was unsafe to consume and I was worried about my health. Extremely disappointed and disturbed with what I experienced. First and last order from this restaurant. Becareful people.

7 years ago: Good variety and has a few variants you seldom get. One of them is the near authentic Kampar noodle and Guizho Flavour. There is also Har Mee stall serving pretty good noodles. Available fried noodles and rice, apart from the economy rice. Neighborhood friendly (price and quality) place! July 1, 2024 Great to be back and the star of the show is the Kampar Noodle. Absolutely delightful with the freshly made Yong tau Foo spread.
