Shocked and horrified with the service recently during Father's Day celeb with my family. Booked the 10am-12 pm dim sum all you can eat brunch as i was informed the capacity was full and we will only have 2hours to dine. Of which I would totally be fine with IF my orders are 100% fulfilled. However, throughout the 2hr period only 50% of the floor were occupied. Staffing was a major issue here with only 5-6 service staff and obvious flaws in operations.
First order of around 10 selections were only served partially. And we were left waiting more than 45mins without service and food. Second round of order, same issue, only partial orders fulfilled, and beef noodles had a piece of wax paper, and hardly any ACTUAL beef slices in the dish. We highlighted to the "manager" and without any apologies, mumbled she will check with kitchen which was unnecessary after the multiple times we complained about the slow service and lack of food served. Upon payment at the cashier, the same "manager" certainly did not hide her displeasure with us, and rudely slammed the check on the counter. We had a headcount discounted after my husband spoke to the captain in charge but the discount is not worthy of the entire experience and time wasted at this establishment which left us all with bitter aftertaste and huge disappointment with one world. I won't even bother rating the food. Such a shame to report this as we've always been loyal patrons of Cinnamon coffeehouse hence the shock that this kind of rude behaviour is even allowed. Pls get the team organised and fix the flawed system and at RM 88/pax, customers shouldn't have to suffer the disgruntled...
Read moreUpdate: The restaurant has since reached out and refunded us for the tea charges. Appreciate their prompt action in addressing the matter.
Previous review : I recently visited Zuan Yuan Restaurant for their Dim Sum Buffet and unfortunately, it was a rather disappointing experience.
The promotion advertised was RM128 per pax inclusive of tea, and RM78 per pax for members. Nowhere in the promotional details was it indicated that tea would be charged separately for the member price. Naturally, we assumed the same inclusions applied. However, when we arrived, the staff casually asked for our tea preference — recommended Pu Er — without any mention that it was chargeable. Only when the bill arrived did we realise tea was not included.
On top of that, the service was disorganised. Several dishes we had already received were repeatedly sent to our table. When we informed the staff, the manager addressed the issue by questioning the team openly in front of us, which made the entire atmosphere awkward and uncomfortable. As paying guests, we shouldn’t have been made to feel caught in the middle of poor internal communication.
Given that this is a restaurant associated with One World Hotel, I expected much better service standards, clear communication, and an overall pleasant dining experience. Sadly, this fell far short of those expectations.
To management — if you claim it’s not misleading, perhaps show me the fine print where tea is excluded. Otherwise, this comes across as a poorly handled, one-time experience that reflects badly on the establishment’s reputation.
Would not recommend based...
Read morePosh upper level fine Chinese dining restaurant that's under the One World Hotel group of eateries. The hotel will cater to bigger receptions hosted at the grand ballroom area but if you want the sheer ambience and luxurious comfort of proper fine dining, this, is the place to have your meal experience at. The outside looks positively drab in contrast to the main entrance of the One World Hotel in a positively understated manner which suits the type of select clientele who come to this place. It is a popular destination for many discerning Chinese to come here for their morning dimsum and yumcha sessions.
The main core for this restaurant is actually their seafood themed menu of which there are numerous options to pick from. I happened to be here for a family wedding dinner and the dinner menu was very well thought out with a good range and selection of Cantonese styled dishes. This mainly entails lightly stir fried dishes in high heat to preserve the freshness and delicate flavour of the various seafood dishes. There's also steamed and boiled dishes as well. All of, which added to an immensely enjoyable dinner in the company of family and friends.
My only peeve was the poorly adjusted PA system used for background music and announcements during the wedding dinner which was a little too loud and poorly equalised for the interior of the restaurant. The assigned waiters and crew for the tables were all highly courteous and prompt ensuring a smooth flow to the dinner experience which was very impressive. All in all, a highly enjoyable evening in good company and warmly...
