Jala Jala Seafood — Restaurant in Sarawak

Out of the blue moon drove all the way to have a shell out dinner. First time visiting and will be my last. My most horrible experience at shell out ever.

1. PRICE. They charged RM200 (for 2 pax portion) for “premium set” with big prawn and fresh crab. But one prawn and one crab available only together with some frozen seafood which is very disappointing. I don’t mind paying more for good food but this must the worst! Paying a premium for absolutely low quality food (big prawn is good and fresh tho)

2. CLEANLINESS. They charge so much but don’t bother to change the plastic wrapping on the table. Plastic on the table are suppose be our plate but it was left expose to bugs and whatever floating in the air. Yuck. Totally lost our appetite when they came and poured all the seafood on the table without any information to us. At least we could request for a new wrapping, which was they before we was there. Imagine they put the menu and money and bags on the table, and then the food was poured on top of it when it came. Yuck!!!

3. FOOD. Taste was ok for the butter cheese which I recommend if you MUST come and eat here. But the frozen seafood again made me so disappointed. Rm200 for 2 pax which I dare say wouldnt event cost rm100-120 at normal shell out place. Ordered the steam scallop as well which was also served the 10cent sized frozen scallop. Taste 3/5. Quality 2/5. Price 1/5.

Hope they improve on this. Good place good ambient (a lot mosquitoes beware) but can be priced more reasonably and improve the cleanliness and pest control (mosquitoes stuck...

Food and environment are good, is only one thing is very annoying SERVICE. They should inform customers early or after confirming the order about payment. There already serve our food and we start our meal also and out suddenly the guy come with terminal machine ask us to pay. They don’t provide fork and spoon and we eat using hand how we want to get our wallet. We go at 8:30pm we start eat also maybe 9pm however 9:30pm they start keeping chair and table and pulling around make the annoying sound like want to chase us go already. I know they open until 10pm but at least remind ur customers we almost close or maybe can spare us another 30min …… we not even finished our food and we to rush to finish the food. Try to improve the time open until 11pm kitchen close at 9pm let customers enjoy the...

Clean place. Ok view. Friendly staff. Taste is delicious. Portion average.

Too bad its overpriced for me. rm168 for 4 pax, consists of mainly corn, potato, some broccoli. medium sized prawns around 4pcs, small prawns around 4pcs. few clams, few scallops. can barely see and squid in there.

Some may say it is worth it, but in Kuching, there are other places charging much cheaper.

The Ingredients alone in their 4pax platter didn't cost more than a quarter of what they are charging for..
