Toh Yuen Restaurant — Restaurant in Sarawak

Went to celebrate mothers day on 7 May 22 evening, unpleasant experience i shld say from a 5 star hotel restaurant. Captain named Terry is unfriendly and dint even bothered to say TQ when giving back my card after payment at the counter neither showing hospitality when arrived. He even lied to me when he call me back over the phone telling me they do not serve ala carte menu but only 7 course mothers special menu. To my surprise everyone else there is eating different food from the 7 courses mothers day menu when we arrived. At the end we were stuck with the 7 course mothers day special menu even though thinking of ordering from the ala carte menu when booking is placed through Him. He and the waitress even left out few sets of dirty tablewares when cleaning the table down upon request so we can enjoy the cake we brought. Its really unprofessional and disappointed especially when u expect better service at such a high star...

Just incredible Cantonese cuisine - easily the best in Kuching. Wonderful ambience. Great view of the riverside. Food is excellent quality. Highly recommend the szechuan dishes and local Sarawak dishes.

The best thing you can start off with is the Hot and Sour Soup with crispy chicken - one of the best things I’ve ever eaten! A wonderful array of seafood dishes - abalone, prawns, scallops - all fresh and tasty. Great stir fry beef dishes. And a serve or two of fried rice doesn’t go astray either!

I recently dined at the Toh Yuan @ Hilton hotel and had a wonderful experience. Even though I only ordered a simple dinner, the staff, especially the restaurant manager (Terry), treated us with incredible patience and attentiveness. They made sure every detail was perfect, and it was clear that they give their best to every guest, no matter how small the order. The food was absolutely flavorful and delicious.
