Zoey Coffee is a quaint little coffee shop nestled on Carpenter Street, right in the heart of a popular tourist area. The charm of this place is evident from the moment you step in; the decor is filled with classic antiques, giving it a unique character and a sense of history. It feels like a hidden gem with its cozy and old-school atmosphere. Every cup here is handcrafted by the owner, and you can tell they put great care into every step of the brewing process, which is something I truly appreciate. It’s rare to find places where coffee feels this personal. The lighting is on the dimmer side, which some might find adds to the intimate vibe, though it may not be ideal if you're looking for a bright, open setting. My coffee was a bit dark roast—a tad too strong for my taste—but if you enjoy bold, deep flavors, this could be just right for you. Overall, Zoey Coffee is a unique spot that feels like stepping back in time. It's worth a visit if you're exploring Carpenter Street and want to experience a different kind of coffee culture.

this is truly a hidden gem of carpenter street. we were hoping to have a cup of coffee at black bean cafe but it was closed. we saw a small table with a fee carafe and kettle so we decided to stop and made conversation with a very nice young guy. we tried both beans he had that day and it was my first time drinking cold americano which was freshly drip. it is so refreshing! he manage to extract the subtle fruity notes with his brewing techniques. he was so humble about it too..my husband had hot coffee Sumatra beans which has deep flavor. my husband enjoys it. the price is reasonable. we definitely recommend everyone to stop, watch him brew your cup of coffee and just savour the coffee aromas!

This is a very unassuming and underrated coffee bar which is done personally by Shaun. Very comfortable, great conversations with him, and I had two of his drinks which is the dark chocolate (tasted like rich dark fudge drink) and the hot matcha drink which is a lovely blend of rich green tea. Very high quality drinks (too bad I didn't try his own baked cakes cos I just had lunch wakaka) Come here for an unrushed-high-quality coffee and cake session, and if you're in a rush, don't come. It's waaaaaaay better when you're not in a rush and can enjoy the ambience, coffee, cakes and conversations. Will be back when I come back to kuching again.
